I appreciate your response. I tried what another user suggested and saved the project, shut down the system, started PD8 with nothing else running, opened the project and it burned the DVD okay.

I am not overtaxing this sytem and making elaborate productions, it's simple home video editing with chapters. My system is more than capable with 4G DDR3, Core 2 Quad, and Dual ATI Crossfire.

There is an issue where this software does not play well with others and / or it trips over itself when it feels you've been editing too much. I just got a response from tech support and they want me to selectively start windows and disable virus protection along with 10 other things. Not a solution in my book.

I understand what you're saying, there's a lot going on here. But when I spend hours editing a video and get a lame message about not enough storage, kill a dozen disks trying to figure it out, it becomes very frustrating. I think they can and should do better. We'll see how the rest of my productions go.

I also am having the same problem. It's frustrating as hell. I've wasted a dozen DVD's trying to figure this thing out.
