My 60minute movie burns successfully to a folder using MPEG2, but when I try to do it in H.264 it crashes at 21% every time! Wassup?
Hey Eugene88240, I tried this and now CL is running terribly slow. Has it switched to 32bit? How do you then reverse this action?
Bought a new PC and upgraded to PD9 because I was frustrated by PD8's sluggishness. The PD9 blurb promises "blistering speed".

My 1hr 45min video started producing at about 1x real speed then got slower and slower. Production time was eventually over 5 hours!

I have a 64bit Quad Core processor with 8GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 graphics.

How can this be?
I had this and fixed it my upgrading Apple Quicktime first, then the content pack installed fine.
I have burned a 1hour 40min video in MPEG2 using smartfit but the quality is way short of original. Actual size is about 6.5GB in MPEG2, even bigger in AVCHD or Blu-Ray.

PD8 does not seem to support burning to dual layer disks. Is there a way round this, other than splitting and burning to 2 disks. How do commercial DVD makers get round this? Is an upgrade to PD9 the answer?
