Hello,
I tried this multiple times in both the PC and Mac version, and it worked as decribed in the tutorial when just dragging the end of the clip (both a video and image clip). I get this menu:
Overwrite
Trim and Move Clips
Trim and Move All Clips
I only see the other menu if I clicked and drag the clip and drop it on the other one.
I suggest playing around some more. If it still isn't working as expected, take a video capture of the behaviour and then you can share here and with CyberLink support using the links in my signature.
Cheers

Being new to PowerDirector, I learn and follow the operations shown in your tutorials:
Moving and Trimming Clips on the Timeline
The strange steps happens to me after dragging the left edge of a clip to the second clip immediately followed is:
- The dropdown is shown rightly, with these options as in tutorials:
- Overwrite
- Trim and Move Clips
- Trim and Move All Clips
2. In a blink, the dropdown is altered by another dropdown with these options:
- Overwrite
- Tim to Fit
- Speed up to Fit
- Insert
- Insert and Move all Clips
- Crossfade
Why the first dropdown disappeared? I want the function described in this dropdown.
Additionally, the dropdown also flashes by when I do the same operations as the tutorial shows at 0:27, 0:39 and 0:54.
I am using PowerDirector for macOS and the system keeps the latest at this time. The PD version is: 21.1.4806.0 with subscription and the newest update.
Is this a bug on macOS?
Anyone can help?
