Adrian and PJC,

Thank you very much for posting a reply to my question! I was ready to give up on this forum and CyberLink.

I had already checked the padlock. However, your question did get me to thinking about an issue I had with Crystal Reports Designer. I use 2 monitors and Crystal Reports Designer would crash if I performed certain tasks on monitor #2. I have been using PowerDirector on monitor #2 and thought this might be an issue. I just moved PD to monitor #1 and now Drag and Drop works for both video clips and transitions! Imagine that! Sounds like an issue for the developers or is this a documented feature that I did not notice in the User's Guide?

Randy
Dick,

Sorry, but I do not know the answer to your question. However, I know from personal experience that you need to set a display name for you Forum Profile, which is different from your Member Profile. You can use the My Profile link listed above to update your Forum Profile. Otherwise your thread may be locked and you will not receive replies.

Has anyone else had the problem of not be able to drag and drop onto the Master Video Track or is this problem unique to me and my PC?
I am just starting with PowerDirector 7 on Vista and drag and drop is not working. If I try to drag and drop a video clip to either the Master Video Track or the PiP Track the video always has the red circle and cross bar icon which indicates that I cannot drop it on the current track. I have been able to work around this by highlighting the video and clicking either the "Add to Video Track" or "Add to PiP Track" button. My show stopper however is that I cannot add a specific transition between video clips. I get the same continuous red circle and cross bar icon when I try to drag and drop a transition. However, I do not see an option to add the selected transition between video clips, so my video clip workaround does not help for transitions.

I understand the red circle and cross bar appearing when I first click on an transition or if I position the transition over an invalid track. However, it should change to some sort of icon which indicates that it is valid to drop between video clips on the Master Video Track. What am I doing wrong or what do I need to do to fix this problem?

Thank you for your assistance!
