No Im uploading from 8mm video cassette from sony handicam (not the old 8mm type) but the visual flickering effect is like that. When i have PD 6.5 open and view the mpeg file on windows media it does not flicker. When i close the PD and view it on windows media ot flickers. Why? How can i correct? Window media plays back other avi files just fine so the windows media work fine.

Hi all. Captured 8mm via PD 6.5. Can play back ok via the PD software but when i go to view it on windows media player it flickers badly. It is called a movie clip not *.mpeg Set preferences to pal (Australia), rich video option checked. Ultimately want to burn to dvd and playback on plasma telly. Can anyone please tell me where Ive gone wrong??? Great family vids if i can get the thing working...
