Thanks. The part about double clicking the downloaded file is what I wasn't seeing.

I'm testing the trial version before purchase and one of the most basic functions, putting a background up with my face showing, seems impossible. I've loaded in various background photos but they just cover the camera image. I also downloaded a frame and a scene from DirectorZone but can't find anyway to add it to the frames or scenes that came with the software.

Am I missing something or is this just normal trial version behavior?

Yes I've done that with Zoom. Just launch zoom and down by the video camera icon you'll find a choice of webcam -- it should show the built in camera plus the YouCam. Choose the youcam and the editing window will show up alongside your zoom window.
