I have the same problem. .mpg and mp3 files when placed in the timeline have no sound. They play OK in the Media Library, but not once dragged into the timeline.

Anyone know why? or also have this problem?

Are you sure it is a NEW link as I was sent an email from Element 5 saying 'We are again sending you your Download link' and it's the same link with the same corrupt file!

My file is also corrupted. I won't bother trying to download anymore as it seems futile.

Do I need to send any information to Cyberlink?
