Quote All of the 3 attached files show that you have chosen a 4:3 aspect ratio. The 720p and 1080p profiles are not available.

Try this: Go back to the edit page and change the aspect ratio to 16:9. Those other profiles will then be available in produce.

Thanks for your quick response! I came to this conclusion myself after about 15 more minutes of tinkering and critical thinking.

It just surprised me that there was nothing in 4:3 between 640x480 (pathetically small) and 2K. There MUST be some incremental profiles between those two settings! Maybe I'll try to create them myself.

Thanks again!
Hi,

When I try to export my finished project, I am given a much smaller list of resolution profiles than I have seen on video tutorials and other friends' computers who have the same software installed. For example, when I select AVC (H.264) and choose "MP4" encoding, the only options I see are:

  • 640 x 480 / 24p (6 Mbps)

  • 640 x 480 / 30p (6 Mbps)

  • 2K 2048 x 1536 / 30p (40 Mbps)

  • 4K 4096 x 3072 / 30p (50 Mbps)

But when I watch tutorials or view these options on a friend's machine, I see way more options, including profiles for 720p and 1080p. Furthermore, my friend told me that she has never installed anything other than the base software, so I know these aren't extras that come with content packs, bonus features, etc.

I have attached screen caps of a few of these menus, all of which seem particularly sparse given what I know is possible in this software.

Why are these profiles not included in my software? And how do I get them?

Thanks.
Hello,

I recently purchased PowerDirector 15, and included with the download were a number of extras including "Content Pack Essential," "Content Pack Premium I" and "Content Pack Premium II". I cannot find any documentation about what the content packs include or what features they add. I'd love to see a list of content that will be installed.

Thank you.
