Quote Sorry, this is a more educated answer regarding Hardware Accelleration in PowerDVD 17.

Go to the Home Mode page in TV Mode and select settings. Select "Video" from the drop down menu. You will see the "Hardware Acceleration" option there.

Thanks foy your help. I was in PC mode. My PC has been converted into a home theater. I will have to try a video out in TV mode after I get home from workl tonight.
Quote I like the way people post their hardware specifications just to show how cool they are and how much money they have.

Funny. Not all of them, but some.

And I bet an idiot like you would say "post your specs if you create a help thread noob" if i didn't post my specs.

Nice of you to just post with a troll comment and no contribution to the discussion at all. Go play in traffic, during rush hour, and rid the world of your stupidity, you filthy Troll!
it seems whenever I am playing a video file in PowerDVD 17 the blu-ray code is set as Region A with 0 changes remaining, but when I open PowerDVD 17 as is the regionis set as Region B with 5 changes remaining.

Are those 5 changes left changes just for PowerDVD or the Blu-ray drive's firmware?
when I play a blu-ray disc windows Aero disables. Windows Aero doesn't disable playing a video file, but a physical blu-ray disc always disables aero.

I have noticed some troubling issue regarding performance too. on video files it is a gamble. some times the run fine, other times they run aa a <10FPS slideshow.

blu-rays seem to always be below the 24FPS they natively are designed for. feels like 18-20fps, and the rest of the frames are being dropped.

Rather disapointing for an liquid cooled Octo-Core i7-4790k @4.4Ghz , 32Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro 2,400Mhz DDR3 RAM and a liquid cooled 8Gb Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming GTX1080. I am really considering terminating my PowerDVD Live subscription if these issues can't be rectified.

Has Cyberlink sold out to Microsoft to inhibit performance on Windows 7 and 8/8.1 and only deliver full capabilities on Windows 10?

On a positive note at least 3D MVC video files are supported, rather than just 3D Side-By-Side or Under-Over. But TrueTheater HDR won't work on a monitor, only a HDR Tv plugged into a PC.
Hello?
Anyone there?
Please assist!
My PowerDVD Live updated to DowerDVD17, but I can't for the life of my find Hardware Acceleration anywhere in the options.

Has hardware Acceleration been removed?

I have a Nvidia GTX1080 and notice some stutter in 3D playback and the ovrall feel isn't quite right. It seems like a few frames per second are bing dropped by the renderer as camera panning, in particular doesn't look consistent.

If there is no current HardWare acceleratioon option, can there be a ptach to enable GPU acceleration for Nvidia and Radeon cards. I wonder if only my CPU is being used to deliver my 3D picture and the Nvidia hardware only beaming it to my 3D Vision glasses.

My Drivers are the latest and are always being updated

Can someone from Cyberlink, or another Cyberlink custiomer that has experience in this firld, please give me some tips to increase performance based on the specs I will provide below

Quote Australia is Region B. PowerDVD is locked to Region A with 0 changes remaining. If I can't rectify this it means that no blu-ray I buy or hire will run on PowerDVD, as all Blu-rays for hire or purchase withing Australia rare Region B

I used to be able to watch Region B blu-rays when PowerDVD Live was at PDVD16. How do I fix this. I subscribed for this program to watch Blu-ray 3D discs on Nvidia 3D Vision.

I have had 0 luck with other programs for 3D blu-ray. The only one that gave 3D picture at all was Arcsoft total Media, but I only got 2.0 stereo Sound and I have a 5.1 surround system. PowerDVD gives 3D pictire and Surround Sound. How do I reset the region on this program so I can select region B?

I already have free programs for DVD and Blu-Ray discs, If I can't get 3D blu-rays to work because of this complete region lock-out I will have to terminate the subscription.

Nevermind. I ran Ccleaner and restarted PowerDVD Live and went from region A with 0 changes remaining to Rregion B with 5 changes remaining. Maybe there was a rigistery conflict that Ccleaners registery cleaner fixed?

When I try to play a 3D blu-ray I get an error talling me 3D can not be enabled on my display. I am using Nvidia 3D vision 2 via a dual-link DVI at 120Hz. 3D is flawless outside of PowerDVD. PowerDVD can use 3D if I run a video file and simulate 3D. 3D then kicks in. But it will NOT work for a 3D blu-ray at all.
