Hi Summer! Thanks so much for the tip. I followed your link and that led me to this other link:
http://support.photamate.com/support/solutions/articles/4000041638-error-no-dlls-were-found-in-the-waterfall-procedure-
I downloaded the ippsw7-6.1.dll file (which was attached), and copied it to my Windows System32. That did it! YouCam now opens and seems to be working well.
Thanks again for showing me the way!!!!

Hi Sumer! Thank you so much! I am following the link and go from there. I'll let you know if it fixes my problem. Thanks!

Hello Lynne, I have exactly the same problem with YouCam Vs 7 in windows 10. I also get exactly the same error message when trying to install the patch, "You do not have the required version of the program installed on your system. The installation will abort..."
When I try to start YouCam, I get this error message, "No DLLs were found in the Waterfall procedure."
I have not been able to run it at all since I purchased it. I can not get anybody to help me on the phone unless I pay $29.95. This is ridiculous and very frustrating. Have you found any solutions to the problem?
Thanks!

Greetings Karl, for your information, the hotfix didn't do anything for me, on the contrary, I couldn't even open any of my projects. It kept crashing in the process. I thank Barry for stopping me from making further changes to my program. Meanwhile, while I'll continue monitoring the forum for a true fix, I went back to using Magix Movie Edit Pro. I loved Power Director when it was working but now, I can't do anything with it. I hope they fix whatever 2527 did to cause our problem. I love Power Director! .... when it works...

Thanks Barry, I rebooted my sys and it crashed again. I am glad undoing this hotfix is simple, which is what I am about to do. I just wish I were able to revert to my previous version before the 2527 update. Thanks!

It crashed again while opening my most recently used project. Didn't even finish loading it. I will reboot and try again and see what happens

Thanks Dafydd B for posting the solution. I will follow the steps to add the hotfix and hopefully that will fix my random crashing. However, you said that the scenario causing the crash is the user entering either "Voice Over" or the "Capture" room after launching Power Director. That is not my case. I haven't done any screen captures nor used voice over. My crashing occurs in the process of doing simple edits on short video clips, nothing complex or special. I am keeping my fingers crossed, hoping this will fix my issue. Thanks!!!!

Thanks Risey, I am going to check my png files and remove one at a time, starting with the largest file to see if it makes a difference. Thanks!
Keeping my fingers crossed, Jose

Greetings Risey, I am having the same problem. What was the size for your 5197 x 2941 PNG file? How did you come to the conclusion that this might be the problem? I am using some PNGs but their sizes are much smaller. I am however using lot's of GoPro video files which are large. I am using them in their original format without converting them to any other format. I was using GoPro files before this last update and PD14 was working perfectly. It all started with the last update. Thanks! any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
