YouCam7 vs Windows 10 - Fail to Start

HP Pavilion g6 Notebook. 64 bit. Intel card. Radeon AMD64 graphics card. Windows 10.
(Can't be more specific about graphins cards etc as accidently tossedd out my journal of set up and updates et al.)

Earliest (v3) YouCam worked fine through all Windows upgrades...UNTIL Win 10. Crash YouCam.
More correctly, even though enabled via Skype and live Messenger,
will not Start from Start menu, taskbar icon, nor .exe. file.

Frustrated ... it was a major asset to my one-woman business, and to lose YouCam now is

Where have I been looking for a solution?
User Guide - mentions enabling (BTDT) but nothing about Starting
HP support site - ditto

Help me people, you're my only hope.

hi Lynne,
You may have a try on new patch of youcam 7, see whether it can resolve your problem or not.

Thanks, Sumer, I popped over there, and guess what...I have to Patch all twelve of them?

I had tried only the latest patch, and it said my YouCam version was not compatible with the latest patch, and suggested I use all the patches, starting from the earliest, and working all the way through them all!
I kid you NOT.
And there is No Way I have the time (or mood) to bother f'arsing around like that.

I now use my iPad.
No more problems.

Next laptop will have an external camera, so it can be replaced or upgraded more easily.
No more HP/othercompany webcams for me "All by myself, I have dug my own hole." (Ashleigh Brilliant)

Hello Lynne, I have exactly the same problem with YouCam Vs 7 in windows 10. I also get exactly the same error message when trying to install the patch, "You do not have the required version of the program installed on your system. The installation will abort..."

When I try to start YouCam, I get this error message, "No DLLs were found in the Waterfall procedure."

I have not been able to run it at all since I purchased it. I can not get anybody to help me on the phone unless I pay $29.95. This is ridiculous and very frustrating. Have you found any solutions to the problem?

Thanks!

Hi Summer! Thanks so much for the tip. I followed your link and that led me to this other link:

http://support.photamate.com/support/solutions/articles/4000041638-error-no-dlls-were-found-in-the-waterfall-procedure-

I downloaded the ippsw7-6.1.dll file (which was attached), and copied it to my Windows System32. That did it! YouCam now opens and seems to be working well.

Thanks again for showing me the way!!!!
