Aldoxide 22 min means 28% in my exemple. 28% it's not good? i smell that you are a new guy to this domain. Put rendering a 5 hours conference, concert for example you will gain 44 min with GPU right? it's still 28% percentage. So it doesn't sound good? see...
Let me explain to you a few things: maybe to me it's not a very high necessity ,,hardware encoder' because we in our company we have powerful production PC (5000 euro value) but this is not about showing off here on this forum, my point in this is to help other people:
others have a week CPU like i5 but they have a great video card like 780 Ti or 690; so do you realize that you can reander with CPU and GPU at half of the time that you render with CPU so it's 100% more advantage. When i upgraded from 570 gtx to 690 it was a BIG BIG difrence at rendering and preview. (of course i had i7 but not the ultimate one but the GPU save'd me). i Talk from my experience in time from many many sleepless nights of spending to fix problems with PDbut with other softwares as well like Vegas, Adobe AE...
So let's think to others not to our selfs and let's forward messages to cyberlink.

SoNic67 i'm using GPU Z ROG; it seems PD 14 uses a lot of Video Engine Load instead of GPU LOAD; at 690 it used 90 % and at gpu load only 10-15% maximum. I didn't measure at 980ti OC yet.
I'm sure that the problem is at java. And please let's not forget about editing .mov DSLR Full Frame files because this is the future and the future is here now. It's not a big discovery that i mead but i hope we can do toghether something with this problems.

Aldoxide; to make a test with or withowt GPU it's not enought to uncheck the box ,,hardware video encoder'' you have to uncheck in settings ,,hardware video encoder'' also! and then you will see the difrence; this is the common mistake that a lot of people do.
2 hours of rendering for 3 hours of video it's not bad; you have to take in consideration the effects applied for the blu ray or multitrack video like editing in 2 camera that will incresse your time;at 2,30 time bluray i wait to our BEAST in the office ![]() 59 min redering using GPU.
Only CPU: 1.10 and withowt anyvideo card: 1.21
So 22 min is some difrence... right? ![]()

I don t know how can you make a editing software in our days withowt testing this important feature. Pd 13 works fine, and it s a shame to blame nvidia drivers for this. Every editing software have problems but it resolves by making update patches.

Aldoxide. I know about this solution i have tryied onlywith cpu unit unchecking hardware encoder but you will lose a lot of time. So then what's the point of hardware acceleration if we can not use it. We got to do something about this.

i know but you have better POWER DELIVERING THE MESSAGE TO THEM ! I will send but i think will be ineficient. There are out there a lot of users confrunting this problem guys.

hi; my friends something is very wrong! I changed my 690 to gtx 980 TI OC from Asus. The problem is still there; i instaled PD 14 right after winodws and drivers. What's wrong with this picture? Why with,,hardware encoder'' bluray do not work the chapters? something is wrong at java script to PD 14.
I'm repeting another big problem is editing 30fps dslr full frame files. they work very slow the program takees the command slow...
Can we all make something about this to fix this huge problem in creating with the videocard BLURAY's instead of fighting ?

SoNic67 is just me ha? but instead of arguing with me you shoud help people ! Do a search on Google to see exact how many people deal a lot of trouble with PD.

Hi; thanks for the message; Beside nvidia, it apears that Power Director has problems with his own NewBlue effects integrated on instalation it conflicts with the new NEWblue effects; so it's has conflicts with a lot of programs; i wonder how it gets every year awards

If i can mention another big problem is that full hd .MOV files (specialy from dslr) are very dificult to edit. it's works very very hard at spliting and playing. DSLR full frame are the future so why is no one take atitude!? what is so damn hard to think is that this is FREE FEEDBACK si so all Cyberlink have to do is to take this information and test it because i never get it wrong. I had a point befor reporting problems and i will have in the future because i test and work with this software and 4 more professional editing software and i know my things. thanks

My problem is that i don't see that operators implicate enough on this forum. Everywere i look there is not a single working or problem resolving post telling to users what to do in CRASH or FREEZE problems. I guided in a post now and i have posts on other nickname helping users...
So it can be a good thing for PD users for helping them but commodity is better than helping right? What's the point of being a Senior Contributor if we don't resolve the problems. All right forwarding problems to cyberlink it's ok but can be better helping people. i my self i'm not a very important person on this forum but i help how i can.
So in the conclusion do you not see is a problem to PD 14 if in PD 13 nvidia graphics driver is working on blu ray creation?
An i agree partial with you that nvidia realese drivers that sometimes conflict with PD but this problem is at the latest drivers; the old drivers testet by Cyberlink must work corectly because these PD updates! so....

I have not got the curage to blame nvidia corporation for PD problems. It would make a big difrence if the operators on this forum implicate enought !!!!! Instead of blaiming nvidia.
Again: If in PD 13 there are no problems with nvidia drivers and in PD 14 are. Who's fault is this? Nvidia? come on ...

Neil.F.1955 if the Power Director 13 works with nvidia (GTX 690 in my case ) and PD 14 don't what does this tell you? That nvidia is for blaiming?
Power DIrector is weeel known with fuul of bugs and crashes.
I'm not a Newbie on this forum i have helped people on this forum and usiing since PD 7. For exemple i discovers that PD 14 will freeze working on blu ray creation disk at 0% and unistaling New Blue Titler (if you instaled any newblue programs) will do the job and unblock the program. I have made a post with this.

hi; it's not working; i removd Geforce experience and it does the same thing; it's very strange: the GPU helps A LOT! The time is with 40 % more rapidly with the GPU support; In PD 13 this problem doesen't exist !!!
I can't imagine how it is working if i uncheck hardware video encoder: this seem to me a problem from power director 14 that will be corected with a patch if in PD 13 this problem is absent.

Hi; How many of you have problem when creating blu ray disks 2d with PD 14 and you use ,,hardware video encoder'' and the project is compleated and you try to play the bluray you just created on power dvd 14 or 15 or a normal Tv blu ray player you can't forward or use a chaper you prefer. It just work the PLAY option and not selecting one of many chapters; no matter what chapter you chose, it will play from the beggining.
353.62 nvidia driver card, GTX 690 card, Power Director 14 ultimate from 2019 to 2513. (This was tested one 2 difrent PC's and the same result was with a few versions of nvidia dirvers 347.52, 353.62, 361.75). The DVD Video works ok. If you make withwot ,,hardware video encoder'' only with CPU, it works the bluray playing right on Power DVD.
Someone fixed this problem because the update didn't fix it?

Hi; this message is for helping PD users; If you install any Newblue applications, it apears PD 14 will freeze at creating bluray disks. The solution is UNINSTALING Newblue Titler 2 and the program will work. I hope this message will help a lot of users facing this problem, because this members of this forum doesen't care to fiind solutions;
NEXT posting will be a solution: How to reactvate ,,Hardware video encoder'' when Power director 14 crashes and disable this video card support for rendering.
Until then please fix Power Director 14 speed of edditing MOV files from DSLR camera; PD 14 moves very very slow when cutting, shorting video clips full hd in 30fps. (Nikon D610 30fps 1920x1080)
