i am sure it was me. all seems to be working - thanks for your input.
i brought the test clip into pd13, dragged it down and the audio did not work.

i then started a new project and dragged down the boat.wmv clip that comes with pd13 and i could hear that.

i then reopened my original project that wasn't working and now it is working, i can hear the audio.

i am so confused!

Hi Shadowman

i tried those adjustments in the audio mixing room. No change. I do see the blue wave along with the white line.

Hi BarryTheCrab - attached is a clip. my camera is a Sony HDR-PJ540

thanks

Mike
Hi - i have seen other posts on this, but not sure if my situation is the same.

i just bought powerdirector with audiodirector and learning how to use them

i uploaded a video to the media room. when i double click on the video i can hear the sound. i then dragged it down to start editing and there is no sound.

  • on the left side of the track the audio box is checked

  • in the upper right where the video is playing, it is not set to mute

  • i see the white line across the audio track

  • if i right click on the audio and choose edit audio, it opens up audiodirector and i can hear the sound

yesterday, i was doing a bunch of playing around to try to get the audio to work and i did do something that suddenly made the audio work (my recollection was i normalized the audio) - so i know it "could" work. that said, during editing i decided to save my work, then close down powerdirector and reopen it. of course when i did that the sound doesn't work anymore sound and nothing i do (normalize, mute, unmute does anything). i can still hear it if i bring into audiodirector (but that doesn't help) and i can still hear the sound if i double click on the original clip.

help appreciated!

thanks

Mike
