When editing a blu ray disc I choose the Cinema template.
At the main menu it displays the First Video. I can see it in my main menu.
But when previewing and burning it, the Video on the main menu keeps black.
How can this happen? Can I set the video/offset for it btw?

The titles are 6 video's which I want to choose in the submenu.
The preview thumbs are automatically the First frames of those vids.
Because I fade in a Video and I want to set the thumbnail to another frame of that vid. I can't find an option for that.
The only option is chapter editing. I can choose a frame over there. Then in the menu designer the chapter (sub of the title) becomes the right image of the frame I have chosen. The title image above remains the same though (or skips to random frame :s )
When burning and viewing the blu ray the thumbs of the titles are completely empty. When pressing a thumb You can see the right thumb images on the screen instead of the empty borders for a second. Then the emptyness is 'filled' in the borders.
What am I doing wrong? I just want self chosen title thumbnails in my menu...

Thanx in advance...
Hi,

Is there a possibility to only make one color transparent with chroma key for use on a background?
For example... I opened a PNG-file in Paint which I want to place on a background; for example:
http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131215002905/nickfanon/images/c/cc/South_Park_Stan_Kyle_Cartman_Kenny.png

I made every white around the 4 characters green (0,255,0)

When I use chroma key with all the sliders, there always seem to be some transparency in the other green colors, whatever my slider-settings are... Especially the front of the cap of the second character...

Anybody knows how I can use the Chroma Key well? I also have the NewBlue FX chroma key plugin, which works better but still not as great as I want to...

Thanx in advance... Grtz, Peter
It's the Sony HDR-CX160E FullHD 1920x1080P camcorder, asadov...
Thank you for your reply, Tony...
I bought PD12 and I've noticed it isn't possible to resize the windows... Too bad, because the 4 cams look like poststamps in my opinion now
It would be great if I could resize the left and right side just like in the main editing window; even if the 4 cams are stretched and some more blocky... I also posted a reply to another post about this... Hopefully we'll see this in future updates
Ok, I have bought the i5-4690 CPU with a NVidia GTX750TI GPU...

As far I can see now, Powerdirector 12 is more CPU than GPU depandant... In a lot of cases my CPU reaches 100% while my GPU usually doesn't exceed 40%...

Just to inform the ones who are interested
Btw, I found a solution...
Open the good old DOS-box with CMD...
Then type:

copy /b [video1].mts+[video2].mts+[video...].mts [outputfile].mts

For example
copy /b 00000.mts+00001.mts output.mts

then it gets connected well to one seamless file...

Isn't there another way with PD12? It isn't userfriendly to open a Dosbox as a solution...
I have a sony FullHD camcorder.
When I record a video with it for a longer time, the camcorder splits the video in 2Gb MTS files.
An hour continuous video contains 6 MTS files for example.
When I import these MTS files (or import the full directory) in PD12 and place these 6 vids on my timeline behind each other, there's still a little gap between the 2 MTS files: A few frames difference in video and the last second of each file is quiet/no sound.

Is there any way to import these multiple MTS-file videos as one video, or seperate parts but without a gap between the vids?
When I render the video from 6 files in the timeline of my project to 1 export file the gaps remain...

Thanx in advance...
I can imagine it's difficult to play 4+1 videos in Hires/Full HD at the same time, BUT:

For the multicam feature I dislike the size of the 4 (small) windows...
Even if they stay the same (low) resolution for playback, I would like to stretch the 4 cams some more (even if they get some more blocky because of the stretching) so I don't need my eyes to be a few inches away from my monitor to see whats going on on the 4 cams...

It would be great if the left side (4 cams) and right side (main cam) screen could be resized to the left and right, such as in the regular PD12 editor.... Then I would make the right window smaller to make the left bigger...
Further I really love the Multicam feature, which is the main reason I use this software...

I hope Cyberlink can implement this in a new patch update for PD12 soon... I just bought it and really want this to change...

Fingers crossed! If anyone has some news on this, please let me know

The paid version of PowerDirector 12 Ultra has a full screen Multicam designer.

Thank you for your reply... So instead of the screen:
http://damngoodreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/PD12-MultiCam-Designer-GUI-Small.jpg

It's possible to view a bigger version of the 4 cams and mastercam? (when pressing 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the keyboard when recording)
That would be great... I've read a review somewhere where they said you couldn't resize it...
Hopefully it will work with Full HD streams well, but guess it does...

Btw, are the plugins of the Ultimate version worth the extra money? I usually dislike all sort of videotransitions and themes but if there are some usefull plugins, I can buy the Ultimate version
Thank you, Neil for welcoming me... I'm new indeed
In the near future I'm going to buy a new pc with Powerdirector... I will be more on this forum then to help and discuss Powerdirector related things...

In the mean time I already investigated further and have some of the answers...
Biggest thing is that with a GPU activated (internal in CPU or seperate card) the difference between de 4820 and the 4690 is about 10%... Not that big difference as I posted before.... It isn't a problem anymore and I probably go for the i5-4690K...
Powerdirector supports OpenCL which is also supported on the 700-series of NVidia.. So I think I'll buy a GTX750 or GTX760....

Btw... Hopefully in the new version of Powerdirector the windows of the multicam feature can be resized so the 4 video-windows can be some enlarged... As far as I have seen in the demoversion resizing isn't possible yet... But I love the feature; I have been waiting for exactly this for over 6 years!

Looking forward to my new system and working with Powerdirector 12... Greetz to you all...
As I want to buy a new pc for mostly video-editing with Powerdirector 12, I am thinking about an i7-processor with an additional GPU-card.
As far I have seen (according to all the benchmarks), the best cpu around 275 euro (300 dollar) is the Intel i7-4770K (Socket 1150).

BUT... There is only one benchmark of which the i7-4770k loses badly: Powerdirector. The same priced i7-4820K performs amazingly better on Powerdirector only (tested without an additional GPU only). It takes 87 seconds to render a 1-minute movie, while the 4770K takes a crazy 129 seconds...

The link:
http://us.hardware.info/reviews/4761/13/intel-core-i7-4960x---4930k--4820k-ivy-bridge-e-review-22nm-powerhouse-benchmarks-cyberlink-powerdirector

Now I'm doubting whether I go for the 4820 (although the mainboard is some more expensive and other than Powerdirector benchmarks are lower) or the overall better performer 4770 on other benchmarks (or the new 4790 which is a little faster for the same price)...

My questions are:
- Can anyone explain why the I7-4820K (Socket 2011) is faster on Powerdirector only; compared to the I7-4770K (Socket 1150)?
- How much does Powerdirector rely on GPU power? Is Powerdirector optimised better for NVIDIA or AMD RADEON GPU's? (Btw, does Powerdirector support 7xx series of NVIDIA? This one isn't on the support list of Powerdirector)
- Which combination of CPU and GPU will get maximum Powerdirector performance when spending around 475 euros (550 dollar)?

Thank you for your replies!
