Is there anyone that can create some sort of script or small program that could possibly stay alive in the background, watch for when powerdvd13 starts in cinema mode and ends a movie, then have the program shutdown PDVD and bring WMC to the front?

My Setup to explain...

-Front End-
I am using Windows Media Center for my shell front end. When I boot Win7Pro I have shelled WMC so it will boot in place of explorer. This means explorer does not boot at all. This is a good thing. The browse my ripped movie content I use Media Browser which is an extension of WMC

- Playing DVD or BluRay Discs-
When playing a DVD or Bluray disc from Windows Media Center, PDVD13 will load what seems to be "within" WMC or it could just be a very good transition from WMC to PDVD13. Now PDVD will play the disc in cinema mode and when the move is either over or after I stop it, PDVD will shutdown automatically and return to WMC which is great. Not so much for playing ripped media (below)

- Media Playing -
I have over 270 movies that are mixed dvd and bluray content. All of which are in raw VOB or BDMV format. I so far have configured MediaBrowser to load PDVD13 in cinema mode when playing a bluray movie, and automatically play. This is good, WMC doesn't always minimize, in fact most of the time after PDVD loads, WMC jumps to the front again and I have to minimize WMC.

The 2 real major issues are (1) PDVD will not exit after stopping or playing the ripped movie so I manually have to exit the program to get back to MediaBrowser and (2) WMC needs to be minimized when PDVD loads

I want to know if the someone here knows how to create a script or small program to run in the background when windows starts, which will monitor for PDVD loading and minimize WMC, then exit pdvd when I stop the movie or when the movie is over. Then bring WMC to the front.

Anyone help?

I don't mind paying for something like this either. My HTPC is not yet complete without WMC and PDVD working as one
Anyone know a way I can close PDVD after its done playing a movie automatically?
Resolved Issue (1)
- Apparently you NEED to use PDVDLP.exe when using /LaunchProgram PowerDVDCinema

So now to remedy the next few issues. If there is a way to close power dvd upon stopping or ending of the movie to bouce back to WMC that would be GREAT! Along with fixing the other issues.

Issue 3 is new and I THINK it may have something to do with the most updated drivers for my display. I will try to revert back to older drivers to see if the problem goes away.
These two questions are regarding PDVD13 when playing Ripped Bluray movies in BDMV format/file type. I don't have an issue when playing from a disc.

1. I am using Media Browser in WMC. PDVD13 is an external player in Media Browser for ripped bluray content. The arguments I use to load PowerDVD13 is
PowerDVD13.exe /LaunchProgram PowerDVDCinema

Unfortunately PDVD is not loading in cinema mode. Why would this be?

2. Is there an argument I can use to close PDVD when I click stop or when the movie is finished playing? Since powerdvd13 does not load within WMC when used as an external player through Media Browser, I have to manually close PDVD to get back to WMC/Media Browser.

3. When PDVD switches refresh rates, for some reason my HDMI 'VIDEO' connection will stop working. My PC is hooked to my HDTV via HDMI. The "video" signal will stop working. I usually have to turn my TV off, turn it back on and then press CTRL, ALT,DEL to bring up the lock screen, log off, and log back on to get the video working again. However, keeping the refresh rate the same will not have this issue.

4. When inserting a bluray disc or even trying to play ripped bluray, PowerDVD notifies me that my refresh rate is not suitable for the content. So I tell PDVD to change the refresh rate to 24p. It does so, if the screen doesn't black out, the movie is very chattery. If I put the refresh rate back to 60hz, the movie plays great. Why would this be?
I have been trying to get AutoPlay command line to work and it seems as though AutoPlay feature only works when PD13 opens in Cinema mode, not classic mode. Even when I go into the settings of PD13 and check the box for always auto play. Is this how PD13 is suppose to work?
Ok so its happening again. When browsing movies in WMC and clicking on a bluray movies, PDVD13Ultra start up but then goes straight to the movie library instead of playing the movies

ANY HELP WITH THIS?
Still doesn't work. Same issue.I have even associated all the formats with PDVD13
I am trying to figure out a way if when I insert a DVD or blu ray, have power dvd automatically start playing the disc. So far I have gotten as far as getting power dvd to start up and look at the drive but I am just presented with the BD/DVD Movie screen with the details of the movie PDVD downloads.

How do I get it to automatically start playing the disc? Also, I tried making a shortcut with the AUTOPLAY E:\ or AUTOPLAY F:\ arguments but it still wont start playing automatically. It will however point to the correct drive I designate after the autoplay argument but will not start playing it.

How can I rectify this?

Reinstalling Seems to work. I Tried this before and it didn't but for some reason it does now. I installed the original version then updated to the newest..

I guess I will have to make a new thread about my current issue.
This is normal. Something to do with the movie frames being resampled if your refresh rate is higher than 24. Resampling could cause jerky playback.
Another issue. Putting in a Blu-Ray Disc will stat powerdvd but it will not automatically play it.. Probably the same issue.
No updates yet.

Cyberlink...can you help me out? I read the the sticky which tells me what to look for...but I have no idea where to look to make sure the path is correct..
So where do I change these? I am guessing in some configuration file in WMC?
When using WMC (Windows Media Center)and selecting a blu ray movie on the hard disk either through the default "Movies" location or through Media Browser, Power DVD 13 Ultra will start up but will not load the movie selected in WMC, it will only show the Movie Gallery.

It used to work correctly, im not sure what happened. Any help?
Did some research on FanArt but seems (atleast for XBMC, havn't found any info for PDVD) the images need to be in high res, not just a small thumbnail image. Any word?
Hi all,

Is there a setting of a certain image name I should use in each movie folder for PDVD13 ultra to recognize and use? Right now I have folder.jpg images for windows to recognize in each folder but power dvd wont use them. I can manually set each movie title specific thumbnail image but that would take awhile. PDVD13 doesn't always find the correct image online.

WMC will use XML files of some sort
Windows Explorer uses Folder.jpg file names for thumbnails
Anything for PowerDVD?
