I figured it out.
I tried to duplicate keyframes in the "keyframes" tab (above the timeline), not in the PIP-designer.
Hi Dafydd,
2. Keyframes - yes these can be duplicated to Previous & Next - use the right click on a keyframe.

It seems that this does not work in my case. When I right click on a keyframe, I see a popup menu with 4 options (delete keyframe, delete all keyframes, next keyframe and previous keyframe). Choosing next or previous does not change the value for the chosen attribute; instead, the timeline pointer jumps to the next or previous keyframe. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong ...
Toddsta,

There is one more issue you have to resolve in achieving what you want (IMHO).
When you start you have clip A on the main video track and clip B (the smaller one) on another video track (with a higher track number). By doing so, clip B is shown on top of clip A in the final result.
When you change the size and position of both clips by using keyframes (as described above) you will see that clip A becomes smaller and clip B increases in size. At the same time you will see that clip B will end up covering clip A completely. That is not what you want.
To avoid this, you will need to copy clip A to a higher track and use keyframes for the transparency to make it appear on top op clip B.

Hope this makes sense to you.
Hi Dafydd,

Thanks for the quick response. I'll give it a try.
Hi,

This is my first time around here. I am new to PD11, but familiar with other editing software (such as Avid's Liquid Editioin). Switching to another computer (from WinXP to Win8 ) forced me to look for a new editing tool. PD11 was the lucky one and so far I am very pleased with it. However, there are a few features I miss (or, more likely, haven't found yet).

- First, is it possible to copy scene settings (such as movement, opacity or rotation) from one scene (clip) to another one?
- And, when using keyframes, can I copy the value of a particular keyframe to the next or previous keyframe within that scene/clip?
- Is there a default behaviour (user adjustable) for deleting a scene from the timeline/storyboard. As far as I can see I will always be prompted to select one out of three options when I delete a scene.
