The fault was mine. Before raising an issue (here and with support), I should have ensured that PowerDirector was up to date on my computer. It wasn't. I updated and it works now. Sorry for the false alarm.
One of the main reasons I use PowerDirector is so I don't have to take two steps - creating a 2D video, then uploading it. I process weekly videos for a club, and the extra time required is frustrating, especially since the process has worked since I began using PD, quite a few years ago.
I created a Product Support Inquiry, and CyberLink gave me a canned response. I sent them a screenshot and reiterated the problem. It's annoying that they did not acknowledge that they now have an issue with YouTube/Google/Alphabet.
You can't see me blushing, optodata and JL_JL, but you both were correct. I must have reset the aspect ratio without realizing it.
Thank you both for helping me out!

I posted my weekly Rotary Club meeting on YouTube this morning, but I was surprised to see that the number of upload formats for MPEG-4 videos has been cut down to only three:

  • 640 x 480/30p (6 Mbps),

  • 2K 2048 x 1536/30p (40 Mbps), and

  • 4K 4096 x 3072/30p (50 Mbps)

I don't know whether this change was instigated by YouTube or by Cyberlink.
I would appreciate an explanation.
Thanks.
