hi, yup, thanks, got that but the version we have been sent is a full version with full dev key ( although I will check as mistakes are easy to make )

thanks for the advice though
thanks Barry, will maybe begin a thread, but I will be getting back in touch with Volker @Cyberlink on Monday and see what the dev's can come up with? we are just totally baffled? surely a product designed for use as a third party software system should be more compatible right out of the box with the most popular mediumss for what is a huge section of the entertainment industry?

I have to say, however, in its defense: the use of PDS in applications other than the capture feature issue we are experiencing has been simply excellent ( particularly the phot and video edit of imported media )

good product that I am sure with a little advice and tinkering from the dev's will turn out to be great?

thanks again for the advice
Hi Barry

thanks for the very prompt response.

maybe it would be better if I gave a little background to our issue?

We have been issued with the full ftp edition of the PD Suite for review, however, it will not recognise any of the capture devices we install? ( external: Hauppauge, Elgato, Roxio and even Dazzle ), Now, I appreciate that it may well be able to run via Aver Media and such capture crads, but the review is based on the functionality of the suite with external capture devices such as the list of the Hauupauge's and Elgato's. We have NO IDEA as to why the system will not respond to any kind of media input during capture? ( any advice, hints or tips on this would be greatly appreciated and greatfully accepted )

the main issue we seem to be having si just a total lack of, well....for want of a better word, " signal ". whenever we attempt to capture there is 'nothing'? it finds nothing, it responds to nothing and it lists no device as even being available for capture ( we cannot even find the ddeives in the available lists to adjust the settings in an attempt to trouble shoot )

I am probably not really explaining this as well as my techy counter part ( this is not my area ), but its the weekend and there is no-one in the office.
The correct way is to 'Import' them not 'Capture' them. Two different methods.

Import brings in High Definition videos, Capture is only SD video.

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT...WHAT?!?

So 'this' is why the Elgato HD Game Capture as well as the Hauppauge HD PVR 2 are not compatible, because to work with the Cyberlink products I have to go back to using SD capture as opposed to the HD file format that I bought the PVR's for in the first place? ( or alternatively capture and then import, even though PD11 invariably cannot even find the files I am looking for?? )

dammit, dammit, dammit!!!

oh, and dammit!
