Thanks folks ... let's see

Smart Sound ... still having a bit of a problem but I think with the help of their customer service I'll be able to recover that issue.

QT ... is installed on my system and like I said before, importing of these MP4's in version 8 was simple and worked well. But still get the same error even after uninstalling it and reinstalling it just now. No joy.

Hmmm
Thanks ... that's very strange ... it won't allow me to import it into version 9, gives me the message:

"An error occured while opening this media file in the media library. It may be because the file is broken, an unsupported format, protected video content or for another reason. Try contacting your video provider for a different video format. this media type is not supported." Then it list the file location address.

Well ... very strange.
Quote: Hi Ralloh,

Your problem with SS is a known issue from the beta-
testing. If you can't find your purchased music anywhere,
can you download again, if you don't have a CD?
Are you on an XP?
Do you have Sonicfire?
During beta, I had to uninstall/reinstall Sonifire, uninstall
SS (for good) and reinstall my purchased music. At the time
I was running XP 32-bit.
Others had the same problem.

I could download it if it showed in the SS files on the program ... have to wait a few more hours to contact SS tech's so maybe they might enlighten me on another option to do that.

No Sonicfire
Running Vista (64 bit system)

Thanks for your input though
Here's a short one ... straight off the camera
First thing out of the gate that I encountered was that MP4 clips from my Sony T90 are no longer supported by version 9 ultra64. What gives?

Smart sound purchases that I made in version 8 are no where to be found and there's no listing for those in the interface so that I can reinstall them like there was in version 8.

Has anyone encountered this ... have any advice or suggestions? Just about ready to exercise the 30 day refund and go back to version 8 where life was simple
It does make sense. Thank you for the detailed answer ... I appreciate it. When I get back to the states I'll download it and happy to donate to the cause.

Nothing like traveling with lousy internet access!
Does this tool work for PD8 ... and am I understanding correctly this will allow one to make a mask with a soft edge?

Thanks in advance
Thanks Tony ... I already had that ... guess I was selfishly wishing there was something like the "Missing Manual" series for this software.

Any other links you have would be greatly appreciated.

Michael
Thanks ... I'll check it out ... still would like a manual that I can read and flip back and forth in when I'm traveling or offline.
Thanks Barry ... that gives me something to study. I'll play around with some of that. Wish there was a more detailed manual out there for this software.

Much appreciated.
I've not found this but I'm pretty new to this program.

What I am looking to do is within a video clip, add a PIP video that appears in say the bottom left corner ... small size and does a gradual expansion to full screen then fading out after the sequence is complete.

Is that something within the capability of PD8?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
