I have PD7 Ultra
Download FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder 2009-04-26

I keep clicking on the above reference at the site you directed me to but it just keeps sending me in a loop.

There is no reference to "drivers"
Update:

The .mp4 AVC file took over 2 hours to convert and it came out blank.
Please help! This transition to HD has been a painful one. This is the second DVD authoring program I have tried.

"Jeff, PD version?
open PD

Version 7.0.261
SR CDS081215-01

What's the video extension/file type? have you installed the correct codec's to view the video?

I am using .mts
I tried converting to .mpg with Any Video Converter but it failed
Presently I am trying to convert it to .mp4 using codec x264

I really have no idea what these conversions are doing to my original video and why I need to be doing them.

I did not know that I needed to install any codecs to PD7. Please advise. Thanks!

Jeff

"PC spec?
Hard Drive's space "C" drive and source drives?

Have you uninstalled - re-installed PD? "

Vista64Bit
HP Pavilion
8Gb Ram
1 TB hard drive
Only "C" drive

I cannot uninstall and re-install. CyberLink DVD suite came as a bundle already installed. I do not have discs.

"In PD7 a multiple project can only be created consecutively from the Video Track"

Dafydd, I did have both projects (or segements) on the timeline, but PD7 would not allow me to start over with Chapter 1 with the second segment.

Can I somehow get both segments to appear on the DVD menu and both have chapters within?

Jeff
Please help! I aa trying to finish my first wedding HD DVD.
Power Dir 7 will not even allow me to see the footage after the 6 minute mark to set chapters. It just freezes on a screen.

Jeff
Hi
I can't figure out if PD7 will allow me to work with two different projects, with two sets of chapters and add both to DVD menu.

How do you do this?

Thanks!

Jeff
I took your advice and first opened it with HP's default player - nothing. But then I opened it with WMP11 and properties verified that it is 5.1

Should I take that to the bank?

I wish I had access to surround sound speakers that I could just quickly verify it.

Thanks!

Jeff
Okay, the problem still exists.

Yes, the settings on the Create menu are set to 5.1, but the properties tell me its stereo.

I am importing a .wma 5.1 rendered file from Sony Vegas but once it is in the timeline of PowerDir, it says its "stereo"

Help!

I would rather render an .ac3pro file, but Cyberlink doesn't recognize the file.

Jeff
Thanks. I was actually trying to find some kind of indication in the Edit area. I finally hit right-click on the timeline track, click Properties and voila.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Jeff
I am trying to burn my first Blu-Ray.

I have to render timeline in Sony Vegas, so my original file can't be imported into PowerDir.

I am using HDV 1920x1080 5.1 surround sound

The surround sound imports as stereo! That's my first question.

My second question has to do with the .m2v file that is rendered by Vegas. PowerDir doesn't recognize this format. Is there a lossless method to change it to something else recognizable?

Thanks!

Jeff
