I burned a DVD, and when played, in the upper left hand corner of the TV is a running time stamp. I do not know how it got there and I could not find anything in the edit mode on how to put it there or get rid of it. I would like to get rid of it, but I could not find any help screen or anything in the user manual relating to this. I have made a couple other DVD's and the time stamp is not there. The only difference between this DVD and the others is that this is the first DVD where I made a menu from scratch.

Ok, I figured it out on my own. I remembered going into preferences and turned off DV auto stop. It now works fine. turned off stop scanning and capturing when theres a long blank or interval on the tape. Thanks!

I am having a very strange issue going on with PD version 7. I have had this software for a few months. Initially, I couldn't capture using my Video8 Sony TRV 240 (8MM) camcorder, but I could with my Sony MiniDV camcorder. The software would recognize the digital8 camcorder just fine when I plugged it in, but when I hit play, it would play for maybe 3 or 4 seconds and then shut off. I then started using windows movie maker for capture and then I would import them into PD 7. I then started having problems with burning so I removed the software and re-installed. I was then able to capture my video using PD 7 just fine. I still had issues with burning, so I slicked the hardrive and started from scratch. I am now able to burn a dvd from the videos I already had saved, but now I'm having the issue once again about not being able to capture using PD7. The Mini DV camcorder can still capture just fine, it's just my 8mm Digital 8 camcorder (Sony TRV 240). Any ideas on what's going on? I guess the next thing to try is to remove the software and try re-installing once again, but I'm trying to understand what's going on. I'm assuming it might be a simple setup within the software. ????

I have just re-installed PD 7 with patch on a clean XP computer and on my first project (58 minutes) I tried to burn to a DVD and I get the burn error eb020283 almost immediately, or within a minute of starting the burn process. It doesn't even get to the windows that indicate % complete. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can burn a file to the hardrive and play it fine, but I can't burn a DVD. I keep getting the error code: eb130581. I have (2) DVD burners, and choosing either one will not burn. Sometimes the burn process locks up when it's in the title process.

I'm new with PD7 and can't seem to get video capture from my Sony Digital 8 TRV-240 camcorder. Is this camcorder compatible with Power Director 7 Deluxe? I am using a firewire connection and the device is recognized by the software. When I hit play or record, the video plays for maybe 3 seconds and then stops. When I try to connect via USB, the camcorder is not recognized. I am able to capture the video using Windows Movie Maker just fine, but would rather use PowerDirector for that.
Thanks, Jeff
