Is there a way to create a negative image of your video? I have transferred a film negative and imported it to Power Director 12. Now I need to convert this negative image to a positive. There is nothing in the program. Downloadable feature perhaps?
How do I capture the closed-captions on a dvd? I've tried a couple of external programs but with no success. Does Cyberlink have anything?
UPDATE- Never mind!! The DVD from which I was trying to extract captions HAD NONE (the L&H Spanish shorts Region 2 edition). The Region 1 edition has them. I didn't even think this set had the Spanish editions.
I went to new transfers of the films that were excerpted and pulled the same clips. I also tracked down the original recording of the stock music that was used. The complete piece is about a minute; I recut it to match the WPIX edit.
The only difference in the two is that the clips from THE CYCLOPS are framed differently because the new transfer is cropped to 1:85, so I had to blow up the image to full frame. Also, when I isolated the Chiller Theatre superimposed title, the was some bleeding and I didn't quite match the A in THEATRE.
Here's another of my faux trailers, made in the style of the period. This one is for James Whale's 1936 production of SHOW BOAT. This is the first trailer in which I've used the Pixelan Spice plug-in. I really enjoyed using it.
You'll notice some phantom track music after the finale. I corrected that after the youtube upload. I'm sending an HD file to a friend in Italy who will make a 16mm print for me. I have monthly film screenings and finally if I don't have an original trailer for a picture I"m running...I can make one! I have thousands of trailers but some films' previews simply didn't survive through the decades. Cyberlink Power Director allows me to produce them in the style of the period in which the films were originally released.
Dunno. I've used that avatar for a while. Didn't get a restriction notice when I uploaded it. It's actually reproduced larger than its actual size. I should see if I have a larger master.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire tri-pack and Wave Editor installed fine. Actually, there was no uninstall file for PD Ultimate, so I think it was a bad install to begin with. All is well now. Thanks again.
In trying to adjust an audio track, I am prompted to open either Audio Director or Wave Editor. I get an error message trying to open Wave Editor. Is this supposed to come with PD12? Is it available for separate purchase or download? I really don't need to spring for Audio Director.
