i am having the same problem with the bars not going away. if you start and stop the movie with the mouse sometimes it goes away but i would say less than 5% of the time. it is very annoying to have these bars showing the entire movie.

Thanks again for the response. Although i am little confused are you saying that de-selecting show info will correct all of the issues i am having or just the original issue which was related to movietime

Thanks Michael for responding. When I start a movie a movietime pop out appears to the right of the screen. Most of the times it goes away after a few seconds but it has gotten stuck on more that one occasion meaning staying out thus blocking the picture. i have gone into the settings and unclicked all under the movietime tab but it has not made a difference.
While i have you here i have another couple of issues that i have posted but have not gotten a response. i only use PDVD for Blu ray and i have my blu rays in folders on my hard drive. i am using My Movies 4 to select the movie from within Media Center. The problem i am having is when the movie starts the tabs i.e. movie, video, photo, music and device and the player controls don't go away. They remain visible throughout the movie. This is very distracting. i have setup the tv in media center both as a television and as a flat screen neither has worked. i have had on a few occasions had the tabs and the controls go away so i know it can be done.
Lastly i have had aspect ratio problems. when i start a movie sometimes even though it is a widescreen movie it appears in a box instead of filling up the entire screen. if i stop the movie with the stop button and then hit the play button it corrects itself. if there is a way to correct these issues i would appreciate it. thanks

When i start a Blu ray with PDVD 11 ultra within Media Center sometimes the tabs along with the controls stay visible during playback. i have tried the maximize button in the top right hand corner and the button in the lower right hand corner. Additionally the aspect ratio is not always displayed correctly. the movie will appear in a box instead of wide screen. these are new movies released this year and last year not older movies. Any suggestions on what i might have set wrong would be appreciated. the blu rays are stored in folders on my hard drive. i am using My Movies.

i got a remote with rc6 logo and tried it but did not work. the same thing happens, when the blu ray is playing if i push any button on the remote i.e. play, pause ff, rew it throws the screen back to the my movies detail page which is the page that has the description of the movie and the play button. i then uninstalled PDVD and re installed and then did the v1719 patch and still did not work. i have not tried this patch CyberLink.2916(Patch)(Ultra)_DVD110429-07.exe but was wondering if this one needs to be done before v1719 or is ok to do after? i also tried to use the cinema mode which says it is for use with a remote but from inside MCE when i change to cinema mode it opens outside of MCE and then says it cant play these type of files and you need to change back. Any suggestions on anything i need to do to get this to work would be greatly appreciated

Can you tell me what MCE remote you are using to control PDVD 11 ultra with. The installer is a friend of mine and came over and we tested every Play/ Pause button in Universal Remote's database and could not get one to work.

Thanks Michael for responding. I have the latest version with the patch installed and have been very happy with PDVD 11 ultra other than the remote not working . i have Universal Remote MX-6000 with WMC remote commands learned. When my remote was being programmed by my installer he showed me a number of different Microsoft remote commands in their database. Can you tell me which code set works. If the code set is detailed in their database then great , if not i will have him try them all until we find the right one if your are telling me that there is one that works. Or if you know a certain model with the right code set of the MCE remote that does work i would be willing to buy it.

I have tried Power DVD 11 ultra inside MCE and the stand alone and cannot get the play ,pause, FF, RW to work with a MCE remote. it states in the latest version that this was resolved. Is there some secret or setting to get this to work.

does anyone know if powerdvd 11 can be controlled by remote with imon software. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
