I tried re-installing the program but had no improvements. It's probably a graphics driver issue, which means that fixing this will be complicated. Just FYI, I have an nVidia card. Of course, any info at all is appreciated.

UPDATE: I installed an old driver and the movie cleared up a ton, though some problems still remain. The driver that worked was 320.49. No earlier driver was made for my 760. For every new driver that gets released, I'll use Frozen as my benchmark. If it can't run this movie, then it gets skipped.
Throughout the movie, Frozen has both video and audio corruption, showing blocks of random colors on the screen. It gets the worst at the climax of the film. I tried downloading the latest update for it, but that didn't fix anything. Has anyone else had this problem? Please note that I bought this copy from Walmart for almost $30 and now I feel ripped off. I rented it before buying and the rental did the same thing. I just assumed that the rental disk was broken.

EDIT: I realized that my PowerDVD program was probably corrupted somehow. I'll re-install when I have time.
Quote: Hi,
your problem sounds related to your Graphics Adaptor driver - some drivers automatically use their own Color settings when playback movies.

you may check this thread:

and also check all the Graphics Adaptor settings, e.g. some NV drivers do not use full color space but reduced one, causing black looking washed out/gray

The one thing I forgot to mention is the only thing you try to help me with. *sigh* Yes, I know all about the graphics driver settings. I always turn the video settings to automatic/program-control when watching Blu-Rays. Have you got any REAL help to offer?
PowerDVD 11 Ultra was always unstable for me, but I could usually get it to show movies properly. The problem that I have sometimes had is that the blacks in the image (on Blu-Rays only) would sometimes be gray instead, making the whole image too light. Recently, PowerDVD went gray and won't go back to black. No matter what I've tried, it won't fix. I realized that my monitor cable was not fully HDCP compliant even though my Samsung monitor is labeled as HDCP compliant. So, I replaced it with a fully compiant cable expecting the problem to be fixed. To my shock and horror, the Blu-Ray movies are still gray. One problem that happened right before PowerDVD went gray was that I accidentally installed a demo for PowerDVD 12, thinking that it was a normal update (since PowerDVD told me that it was an update). After having the demo on and then removing it, my Blu-Rays have all been gray and I can't get it fixed. I tried re-installing many times and have tried the most stable graphics driver (for PowerDVD Blu-Rays). I even tried going into my registry and removing PowerDVD 12 entries, but it still hasn't fixed. Right now I am forced to use DVDFab to watch Blu-Rays, but it's just a demo. If I can't fix this, then I will simply use another company's software and never go back to CyberLink again. This has been a nightmare. Thanks for giving me trash software that has wasted a lot of my time. Now, does anyone have some answers? Please.
