Actually Phil that is exactly how I pulled off my almost 3 minute vid... link above. It helped me eek it out. What I didn't realize is that programs like "Windows LIve Movie Maker, blur up your vids. So I am pleased to have the sharpest vid I have ever posted on YouTube, thanks to Cyberlink.

I do have a V8 on the way. I know that probably makes me a lamester around here. I will use my V11 someday when I have a better computer.
Thanks guys for such awesome info. I am not offended because my computer is substandard. Dafydd is correct all the way, but as a stay at home mom I won't be buying a new one any time soon. I realized ideally that is what I need to do. For this reason, I would like to land an earlier version if I can.

The above is the final product. I was able to barely pull it off by not using transitions, and not editing the brightness. I also made the screen super small, and produced it without the view screen mode. If I can eek this out with V11 then V10 or less should be fine. My Uncles new Quad Core couldn't do it either. I just alter the "brightness" and it bugs out even on the quad core. I think an earlier version would be great. Dafydd do you work for Cyberlink?
Thank you all for these wonderful, and helpful responses. I have version 11, and it bogs down if I change the "brightness", "contrast" or add a transition. It just isn't working out. Thanks for the great info on V10 not being as taxing on the computer. I need to find that version.
I did indeed, but still didn't work. Thanks for that tip. I tried that tonight in fact.
If my computer can't handle Version 11, is it more likely to handle an earlier version or do they all have similar requirements? How can I get an earlier version? Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks Wnuk for your info.

Wow, maybe it is that demanding. I have put it on 3 laptops, and it hasn't maxed out the CPU or memory on any of them, yet won't work. Maybe an earlier version will work. This is a bummer. I really want to get this project done.
I just put the program on someone's new Toshiba 1.56Ghz Quad Core, and the same thing happened. It worked great until I changed the "brightness" and then it skipped, and dragged, which also puts the vid out of sync with the audio.

The Quad Core is...
Processor Core
AMD A6 3420M
Radion 6520G graphics
8GB memory
64bit Windows

Can I please just have a lower version 10, 9, or 8? I need this program, but this is 3 computers now with all the same skip, and jerk.
One more thing, my husband says according to the resource monitor i didn't max out the cpu. He watched it while I used the program. Does that fit with this diagnosis?
Thanks a million guys! I can work with this info!!!
Her is a vid of the screen. The audio didn't get recorded when I took the screen vid for whatever reason but you can still see the jerking and dragging by watching the timeline or the vid. It responded this way after I added a single transition.

Is this what right? I hope so. It is attached.

Thank you for responding. I will post what yo asked for, Until then ...

This is a small piece of the vid without transitions or enhancements so it is only jerking a little. You can tell in the guitar playing part. If I produce one with bad skips, and drags in the playback, the final produced output shows all of those same issues.
Let me add that I have all the requirements on my computer. I installed the program on my husbands laptop, and it does the same dang thing. Thanks in advance for any help.
Hello

If I make simple changes to "contrast" or "brightness", click "apply to all" then view my footage, and it is all of the sudden SLOW, and out of time with the audio. If I add a transition, it is the same thing. I have the most recent drivers installed. I did that today. What could be the deal? Thanks in advance.
