They say I must provide proof of purchase that I purchased it from cyberlink.com I threw away the receipt that Amazon sent in the package, so I can't provide proof.

Very frustrating, two days without the program (they take a day to respond every time!), and the project is due tomorrow evening!

Thank you for your help! I'm sure you know it's quite frustrating to be in the middle of a video project and not be able to finish it (the deadline is Wednesday!)

Companies like this should be forced to inform consumers that they have to activate portions of the software, that purchasing the software does not mean they'll be able to use it!

Lesson learned.

Thanks again, Kevin
Dafydd,
Thanks much. I bought the program from Amazon in February, I'll have to check the exact day. I installed it February 7th (according to the control panel), but was on vacation while it expired apparently. Just opened it yesterday to do some editing, and it's not working.

Does this mean I can never activate it, because I missed the 30 day deadline?

The support ticket number is CS001130008

I'll have to look up which account I bought it on, either my wife's or mine.

Thanks
I have PowerDirector 10 (10.0.0.1129b) installed from the CD, and it's requiring MPEG-2 "Component Activation."

When I click activate, it returns the message "Codec Activation Unsuccessful. The program's serial number is invalid."

I doubt Amazon is selling invalid serial numbers. Mine installed fine.

I submitted a support ticket. It was a joke. They said to make sure my internet connection was valid. I have no problems connecting to the internet, no firewalls, nothing.

Any ideas? I can't find any hacks, but I'm sure there must be something. I'd thought I'd try the legal route first.

thanks
