When I ask professional videographers how they go about getting the rights to use popular current music for their weddings, sports, and other videos, I get rather hush, hush answers like that of users of a 'popular MP3 player' when asked exactly how they've come to fill their entire device with music at over $1 per song.
I like to support where I can, but I can't afford the $1000. price tag per song as discovered on a popular NYC site.
Where do users look to find decent tunes to accompany video footage?
Or is it as a popular shoe campaign states... "just do it" ?

Thanks Neil.
Much appreciated.

Thank Tom.
I was afraid someone was going to say that..."No you can't slow it down dramatically (still appearing smooth) and NO there aren't any decent vendor add-ons".
And I do understand what you meant about slowing it, importing it back it for a second time, etc... I didn't care for that either.
Oh well, maybe future versions will have better interpolation.
Stayin tuned

Hi All,
I'm aware of using 'video speed' in the power tools section, but I'm just not thrilled with the lowest secting slo-motion footage while viewing it on DVD player after burning etc... I's the another way to create extremely smooth slo-motion video? Or third party application that works with PD10 ?
Thanks

Great. so it sounds like it CAN do what I want it to do. Very nice ( interpolation ).
Don't know if anyone has gone from MEP to PD but I'm sure based on the "ease of use" ratings I've been reading about, that this software will be a welcomed relief.
Now about the support... Is this forum one of the best places to get all the answers? Are there other good sources? and is there 3rd party software that works with PD for even MORE bells and whistles?
Thanks much!

oh ok thanks. I thought one could create cool slow motion effects with PD. I'm really interested in slowing down a good basketball layup shot from my daughter's B-ball games, but I want it to be real smooth.
I know the new version of MEP does image fills between frames now making that effect really cool, but to tell you the truth I find the entire program hard to use if I stop for any length of time and come back to it. Seems I have to re-learn it each time... not real intuitive in my opinion.

Hi All,
I've been reading up on PowerDirector and like what I see, but I must say that I have been a "Movie Edit Pro" user for quite some time. Can someone explain the similarities or advantage to using PD or both PD and MEP - Does one handle certain issues bettter? I know that MEP just enhanced their slow-motion effect. Can PD do extreme slo-mo stuff as well? Really interested in the effect.
If I'm familiar with the MEP dashboard, will i find that PD is as easy to use and similar?
Thanks
