I am having trouble producing a standard DVD that will play on a standard DVD player. Buring AVCHD and playing on BD player is no problem but when I burn a standard DVD it plays fine on computer but not on several friends' DVD players (these are pre-BD era players). I have tried burning in DVD+R and DVD-R with PowerDirector "Create DIsk". Also produced a folder and use imgburn to burn to DVD, changing the booktype to "DVD-ROM" for DVD+R discs. Same result for DVD+R discs whether I use Powerdirector Create Disk (which changes booktype of DVD+R to DVD-ROM) or burning software like Nero or Imgburn. Create Disc does not seem to burn DVD-R discs - maybe because it tries to change the booktype which it can't for a DVD-R disc. But burning on DVD-R with burning software again produces discs which play fine in my computer or new BD player but has same compatibility problems with standard DVD players. In all cases I burn at lowest write speed. Any suggestions on how to produce compatible standard DVD discs?
