Burning finished DVD's

I finished making my first CyberLink Power Director 9 Ultra video but cant find a way to burn it via NeroSmart onto a 4 GB DVD. Or any of it's components/tracks I used to make my first vid.

The finished video is 3.4 GB and the DVD should in theory burn and play.

I know CyberLink Power Director 9 Ultra come with it's own burning capacity but was wondering if this is still possible to burn via NeroSmart. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Dana: This quote is from the PD9 Users Guide.

Creating Folders
Selecting Create a folder in the Burn window creates a folder on your computer
that contains all the files necessary for burning. This folder can then be burned to
disc at a later date.
Note: creating a folder overwrites all of the existing data in a directory.

I don't think it is possible to burn a "Produced" file per se so that it is playable in a DVD or BD player, but the real pros will correct me if I am mistaken about that. I always burn using the PD9 Create Disk module.

Hope this helps. Have a great day.

It can be done. For instance the program ConvertXtoDVD will do what you want.

I don't see it in nero though. I only see recode DVD and convert DVD to NERODIGITAL then to DVD again..

You can create the DVD to a directory on your hard drive using PD9 and then I believe Nero can covert and burn that to DVD I think.

Actually you can just burn it to the HD and use a program like DVD Fab or similar.

Hi,
I use Nero to burn my finished 'Productions'. I do all the editing in PoserDirector 9 Ultra, then go to Create disc module and use burn to 'folder option" selecting the DVD type before (ie AVchd Blu ray or Mpg-2 standard DVD) then burn to a folder.
Then preview on computer for any changes or whatever. Then open Nero and use it to burn. I use the Nere Rom for standard DVD's and Nero Xtra for Blu Ray disks. I lower the Write speed on the drive a bit as burning at Max burn speed sometimes creates stutter.
I also sometimes if burning Blu ray/DVD use rewritable disk to preview on my DVD player for campatability before finalizing to a DVD-r/+r disk

What you can do in Powerdirector 9 is burn a DVD Folder, uncheck the burn disk option in the Create Disk Module.

Once the DVD is "Burned" you can then with any disk authoring software burn those DVD folders to a Disk.

Powerdirector creates a 'My Video" folder that has the DVD structure. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

I am having trouble producing a standard DVD that will play on a standard DVD player. Buring AVCHD and playing on BD player is no problem but when I burn a standard DVD it plays fine on computer but not on several friends' DVD players (these are pre-BD era players). I have tried burning in DVD+R and DVD-R with PowerDirector "Create DIsk". Also produced a folder and use imgburn to burn to DVD, changing the booktype to "DVD-ROM" for DVD+R discs. Same result for DVD+R discs whether I use Powerdirector Create Disk (which changes booktype of DVD+R to DVD-ROM) or burning software like Nero or Imgburn. Create Disc does not seem to burn DVD-R discs - maybe because it tries to change the booktype which it can't for a DVD-R disc. But burning on DVD-R with burning software again produces discs which play fine in my computer or new BD player but has same compatibility problems with standard DVD players. In all cases I burn at lowest write speed. Any suggestions on how to produce compatible standard DVD discs?

Hi,
I have burned several Blu-ray and standard DVD through Nero and ImgBurn utilizing PD9 Ultra folder.
I don't know what version Nero you have I have the Blu ray version. Here is how I do it.
Open Nero rom and select DVD-Video (not DVD-rom), a screen opens with a New compilation in right hand window with a 'New'
as the name and under that there are two folder Audio_TS folder and Video_TS folder, on the right pane navigate to your directory containing the files created by PowerDriector when you save to folder. Now drag the Video folder in that directory to Nero's Video_TS folder, Audio should be empty but you can drag powerDirector audio folder to Nero's audio folder. Now under those you should have your VOB and Ifo Bup stuff.
In root where 'New' is F@ and rename as you want then click 'burn' supplying the drive letter pertaining to you burner, select the speed (not Maximum) and apply sit back and wait.
This works for me everytime

Can you access Nero Vision via Nero Smartstart? Depending on its purpose I always 'Produce' my videos as AVCHD or MPEG-2 files then burn them either to a Blu-ray disc or DVD using Nero Vision.

FWIW back in PD 6 era, I had real problems using PD6 to create and burn DVDs. In the end, I got rid of Nero & Pinnacle burners and settled for Power2Go (PD sister product). Since then, never had a problem. I always do as others, create the DVD in a folder, without burn, then go to P2Go to burn the DVD folder.

Did you produce the project to a video file or video_ts folder? Why is it that you cannot burn it using Nero? Will it not accept the video? Is it too big? Nero will burn the video_ts or video file, but how it does it depends on which one you are working with. __________________________________
