>>Which versions of PhD are currently installed on your PC?
Currently, there are no versions of PhD installed on my PC. I don't know what specific version number it was.
>>Did you uninstall PhD 2011 before installing PhD3?
I did not uninstall PhD 2011 before installing PhD3.
>>Was your PdD3 installer an upgrade from PhD11?
Hmmm......I'm not sure. But I installed it alongside PhD11.
It was not a trial key. It was issued to me for delivering "suggestions and feedback". The email says it is to "access your free official version of Photodirector 2011".
It worked fine for many months, until I tried PhD3.
I hope this helps....
Thanks,

PD 2011 stopped working after installing/uninstalling PD 3.
It says that PD 2011 is expired.
Is this right? Is there a way to get PD 2011 to work again?
I have an "exclusive CD key" that I received from Cyberlink.
Thanks,
JX

Pix,
Thanks for the quick response.
My request has nothing to do with batch processing.
I don't mind straightening 100 images individually. After all, they require different angles.
What I do mind is when the software "revert to the default set of Regional Adjustment Tools".
I don't want it to revert to a default, I want it to stay still.
When I use the clone tool, the software remains in clone mode from image to image. It works as it should.
It seems that the crop tool should have 2 modes.
Mode 1, I can do a simple crop (no straightening involved). In this mode, crop is the primary function.
Mode 2, I can do a straighten which results in a crop. In this mode, straighten is the primary function.
The software, as is, only supports Mode 1. Straighten is lumped under the crop tool as a secondary tool.
Hope you can help.
Thanks again for your time,
JX

I like this software too much so I am back to try this again.
I am straightening about 100 pix. After I straighten the first image, I select the next image to straighten. After I select the next image, the icon changes to crop. I want to stay in straighten mode so that I don't have to re-click the straighten icon 99 more times.
Is this by design or am I using the feature the wrong way?
Thanks for your time,

I too mentioned it in the beta phase.
The canon SDK feature is what is keeping me here. Even DPP has color management!
We can give them time to add it. It is pretty good for version 1.

Brandon,
Straightening is a basic fucntion that is "hidden" in the crop section. I hope it gets another look to change it.
Thanks for the response.

I thought I would try to elaborate.
The first 3 are the identical jpg file converted with PD2011. All software using Adobe RGB colorspace.
The last is the RAW file that was converted. I am assuming it is using the colorspace from the camera (adobe rgb, in my case), but it is different.
I need help. Any guidance would be appreciated.

How does PD know what color space to use for display? conversion?
Thanks.

Brandon,
Have you given this any more thought?
I simply want to straighten many images back to back without having to re-click this icon
before every image. I feel it should stay in that "mode" until I tell it otherwise.
Thanks again.

I cannot find any color management settings for export......or display, for that matter.
Any guidance/info would be appreciated.
Thanks

Brandon,
I am sorry, but I said that wrong.
I am trying to straighten, not rotate.
Is there a stand-alone straighten mode?
Thanks

|
Brandon,
Thank you for the reply.
I have never touched the Done button. As soon as I draw the line and let go of the mouse button, it rotates the image properly then goes back to the crop tool.
The crop and rotate tool is actually 2 different tools. It defaults to crop. Is there a way to default to rotate?
Perhaps the rotate tool can have its own tab? After all, the crop and rotate tab has a crop icon on it!
Thanks again for your time,
CR

Am I using this tool the wrong way?
I am trying to straighten many images back to back.
Cut-n-paste does not apply becuase the angles are different.
Thanks

I normally straighten images back to back, but having to reselect the icon for every image slows things down a bit.
After I rotate the image, the cursor exits rotate mode, especially after I select the next image.
Is there a way for the software to remain in rotate mode until I select a different tool/icon?
Thanks

I agree with DDL_CGY .
The Shadows slider should only affect the darker parts of the image (within reason). This is not occurring right now.
The "region adjustment" tool is a workaround, but should not be necessary in this case.
Thanks
