I keep submitting tickets to Cyberlink since PowerDvd 11 but I get no help. Is someone here able to create a patch to address this issue?
Here is the ticket I submitted to Technical Support:
Please re-include the COLOR CONTROL & DUAL DISPLAY MODE tabs - (please refer to Screenshots attached below).
These options were available in PowerDvd10 under Advanced Video Options when playing an MKV file for example. I cannot understand why they were ommitted in PowerDVD versions 11 to 15. EVERY OTHER VIDEO PLAYERS HAVE A COLOR CONTROL TAB.
Note: I know there are the vivid, bright,... color presets & True Theatre Lighting....but these options are not accurate enough for all movies, monitors, televisions. For example some movies are too bright but have too much color......The color control tab would allow fine tuning the video image for all movies.... The fact that the the vivid, bright... presets are here show that the color control tab is here, JUST NOT ACCESSIBLE through the PowerDvd 14 GUI.
If I load the PowerDvd 14 video decoder (CLCvd.ax) in Media Player Classic Home Cinema for example it allows me to access the color control tab - (please refer to Screenshots attached below). So it shows the color control tab is still in POWERDVD 14 (but hidden in the advanced video options)
PLEASE MAKE THE "COLOR CONTROL & DUAL DISPLAY MODE" tabs ACCESSIBLE ONCE AGAIN under Advanced Video Options in POWERDVD 14 to make it THE BEST VIDEO SOFTWARE PLAYER ON THE MARKET.

Hi. I am surprised that one of the most useful features in PowerDvd 10 was left out in PowerDvd 11.
Under Video Settings, the Color Control Tab is no longer available - i.e. it is impossible to manually choose to the Brightness, Contrast and Saturation in PowerDvd11.
I was using this tab to manually adjust the black levels, white levels and saturation when watching movies as most movies have different levels - some movies are too dark, some movies too bright, or some movies too colorful or some movies too drab.
I know PowerDvd 11 allows me to change the above by changing the Color Profile; i.e. Original, Theatre, Bright, Vivid - but there should at least be the option to create a CUSTOM Color profile - as these 4 preset color profiles do not work for all movies.
With all the great improvements from PowerDvd 10 to PowerDvd 11, I fail to see how something as important as the Color Control tab was left out. That tab allows PowerDvd 10 to give a professional color calibration while the lack of that tab in PowerDvd11 means it will never give a professional color calibration.
Every other player on the market has a color control tab (which is just as important an equalizer in a sound system or music player)
Free players like Windows Media player, VLC media player or Commercial Competitors like WinDvd all have a color control tab.
I am surprised that PowerDvd 11 - a software that's a direct update to the excellent PowerDvd 10 would leave out the color control tab. That to me and to other users that expect professional quality from their PowerDvd based Home Theatre Setup is a big annoyance.
Could you please re-include the Color Control tab in a patch?
Thank you

Hi. I just uninstalled PowerDVD 10 Ultra and upgraded to PowerDvd 11 Ultra that i just purchased. Very disappointed so far. Very buggy - like a beta software.
The major flaws I noticed so far:
First of all the "Color Control" under Advanced Video Properties is missing.
Now I can only play movies at the 4 included preset color settings (i.e original, vivid...).
I can no longer manually set the brightness to 30 if for example the movie is not bright enough...The 4 PRESET COLOR settings are inadequate as all of us users have different HDTVs or computer monitors.....
As an example, on my HDTV watching a Test movie, it's too dark at the ORIGINAL preset and still too dark at the BRIGHT preset. And I cannot manually increase the brightness.
Also in PowerDVD 11 as well as since the PowerDVD 10 build 2701 Update, I can no longer use the Directshow Vsfilter to load subtitle files.
The thing is PowerDvd's internal subtitle renderer is buggy. Most *.srt files have missing letters or have squares displayed instead of letters (e.g instead of Powerdvd it will display P**werdv* (I used * instead of the white boxes that are displayed in PowerDVD).
Also the subtitle option in PowerDvd is too basic - i.e there is no way to change position of subtitles on screen, or the subtitlle color, or the subtitle font size......
I would appreciate if these bugs could be fixed.
Until then I hope to get a refund on PowerDvd 11 and I will revert back to PowerDVD Build 2429 - that is the latest build that allows me to customize every single movie's color control...as well as display all my subtitles in VSfilter.
Also, I hope to be able to get a refund on PowerDVD 11.
