If you DID NOT get the PD10 upgrade version........ otherwise no....you will have to do like I and some others did when we got the upgrade... toss it in the garbage and buy the full version of ultra... some of us run PD& and PD10.....
Still don't know if that will solve all the rendering issues you have been having though.....
I bought the upgrade version
PS For the time being I don't intend to pay more to Cyberlink. I'll wait for them to fix the problem. Meanwhile I do my HD editing and producing to PD10 and my DVD output and authoring to Vegas Movie Studio HD. If the learnhng curve is not demanding and Cyberlink is late, I may convert to Vegas alltogether.
Thanks for thw straigt answer

I love the capabilities of PD10 and produce my BD disks with this version but ...
I cann't produce DVDs with that (see topic http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/21166.page#112502) so I wonder if it is possible to have both versions working on the same PC.
I tried and failed so far

Meanwhile I turned back to PD9 giving up all the nice things of PD10.
I couldn't install both versions on my PC to produce BD with PD10. Need another computer

There you go - differing results on different systems - differing results on different versions of PD... using the same original clip, the same settings, the same editing process & the same profile.
Hi All,
The truth is more shocking than this...
All kind of weird things happen when producing DVD from PD10 with "layered" material, let it be subtitles, transitions, Titles or anything, as long as Power Tools - Video Crop is applied simultaneously.
The more I go analysing the problems the more I'm convinced that Power Tools - Video Crop is messing all things up (hint for the guys in CyberLink )

Win 7 64 using PD10 64 bit version.
Being in the States, PD had to convert your file from PAL to NTSC. Not sure if this made a difference or not.
Convert the original.m2ts or produced an NTSC produced.mpg?
I tried the later ...
Producing an NTSC file is A-OK here too!!!! It makes a difference after all
But I have to output in PAL

I d/l'ed your original m2ts file and playback is normal. The "produce" file you included clearly shows the flickering issue. So I took your original m2ts file and cropped it. Added a title effect and produced it as Mpeg2 DVD High quality. The produced file was excellent on my end with no flickering at all. I've attached for your review.
I suspect the on board graphics card of your PC is the issue but others more knowledgeable in hardware can guide you there.
Thanks
Your file plays exellent here too.
I've tested it in 5 diferent PCs with all kind of Graphic cards
Only common in them the win7 64 Greek Version
Have to try on English version.
Do you have win7 64?

And the last file

E&D are not applicable. Instead I'v attached the problematic produced mpeg-2 file and the pds file in my post above.

It's straight forward.
1. Load original.m2ts into project
2. Place it in video track 1
3. Select power tools-> Crop video ang do some cropping.
4. Add a title room effect on T track
5. Produce youw work for MPEG-2, DVD HQ (or DVD SP, DVD LP or AVI)
6. The Produced video is Flickering wildly (is usless)
Win 7 Profesional 64, core i3 with internal GPU, 16GB RAM. No Hardware acceleration, encoding or decoding.
Project on PAL 16:9.
Attachments on my original post above.
Thank you

There is tremendus flickering (more like fade in and out) in the produced mpeg-2 HQ files, every time the original video files (AVCHD 1920x1080 50p) are cropped in Edit page with PowerTools crop function and titled in Titleroom the same time. If either crop or title is disengaged video rendering is normal.
Never happened in PowerDirector 9. Projects that produced exelent DVDs in PD9, produce useless files when opened and rendered with PD10, along with projects produced with PD10 using the same original video files.
The above happens with .avi or mpeg-2 DVD output. Not with other formats (even other mpeg-2 formats)
Do not use any hardware acceleration on my i3, 3,2GHz, -16GB computer (GPU in CPU) with xin7-64
PD Ultra 10.0.0.1129b
PS the same happens with PiP objects ...
PS2 Try it on a computer with AMD GPU (ATI Card) with no luck (still Win7 64, 8GB, 4core Intel CPU)
