Still crashing.... I can run for a few minutes and then it locks up tight. Do you really think I need the Codec Pack?
here is a short clip
I will need to capture a small file tonight. I am also going to try a file that was not shot in HD.
Thanks for the help!!!
here is the dxdiag...

I do not have a codec pack installed...

I'll have to generate a small file from the camera
I tried both ways
PD9 fires up and runs, but as soon as I start to do anything it locks up
I just started to use PD9 version 2930
I am running Windows 7 Home premium on a Dell XPS 8300
Intel i7-2600 CPU at 3.4Ghz
RAM is 12 Gbytes
Video card is ATI HD 5700 1Gbyte
Video drivers ARE up to date and so is quicktime. I have loaded some HD video captured from an Aiptek cam corder in a .MOV file format. I can't even cut the files into clips without the system locking up. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!

I have searched the forum and found no answer. Does this program simply not function? Does anyone have an idea where to start? Is there software available that can edit video?

To say the least I am really disappointed!!!
