Well, it may not be a bug, but I'd consider it awkward UI design. It seems odd to me that when working in modules that seem to progress linearly... A,B,C,D..... that I should get to stage D, but still need to go back to stage B to tweak only one of hundreds of options that are available there.

I understand why it is there, but it just seems a little counter intuitive to me

But Hey.... I didn't pay for an Avid :

thanks everyone for the help!
Thanks CLD

You got me started in the right direction. I still think it is some sort of bug tho......

The settings were correct in the individual projects, however when I imported them in the create disk portion of a new project, they where changed from dvd to file type subtitles. It took a bit of messing around but once I realized that the settings were changing I was on my way to fixing it

Thanks
Not sure I understand the question, but perhaps some more detail will help...

I'm trying to turn the titles off using the menu option that is created by PD9. The one that appears by default when sub titles exist. Not doing anything on the player

I've played the disk back on both my PC and 2 DVD players - there is no difference

Here is the kicker

On the chapters page, where a section of the chapter plays back in the little window..... I can see the subtitles on that!

Is is this a bug?!?!
OK - I feel like I must be missing something simple. I've got my project burned to DVD, but no matter what I pick on the sub titles setting...... they are always there

thoughts?

Thanks
Having done some searching, I suspect what I want to do isn't possible. But it can't hurt to ask.

Ideally I would like to have every project that I load come up individually on the root page. But I gather that I can't do that. I can only have play, chapters, sub titles. Is that still true in PD9?

If so, what is the best way to quickly get viewers to a page that just shows the individual projects that are loaded?

Thanks in advance for the expert advice

using PD9 deluxe
When I try to include an audio track from itunes I find that I can pull in anything that I digitized from dvd but can't access anything that was purchased thru the itunes store. I guess, I'm not surprised at this, but I am wondering if this is typical and, if so, is there any way around this?

Thanks

using PD9 deluxe

I guess I should have tried this sooner (2 days left on my PD9 trial).... but I was having to much fun editing stuff and I didn't. Last night I attempted to burn my first DVD. 3 times is hung up my system...... didn't crash, no error message. It simply got about 1/2 thru the dish and just stopped hung up. I let it sit for 2.5 hours and nothign changed. The 3 disks never completed and are useless...

I know I have very few facts to go on, but I was on the verge of buying this, now I'm wavering...... any thoughts at all?

Thanks

Thanks for the detailed response. Once I get my demo reel done, I have a long list of things I want to try in this product.... it is pretty amazing
Is there a way I can merge several projects into one? I have 3 short projects that I'd like to bring into one with out writing them out individually and recombining.

If not, what is the best quality to write out a file knowing that the final goal is a DVD?

Currently using a demo version of PD9 and am really impressed

Thanks
