Too bad, I had a issue and it turned out to be my anti-virus program. I was going to suggest as you install disabled it but since your good.

Cheers
This ever get resolved?
Quote: Yeah been fighting this issue for a bit now. GL a few of us are looking for a solution as well the Cyberlink support dept.

I found the fix to my issue. Seems my Anti Virus PC Doctor was causing the issue. TFsystem.exe was running and was causing the audio skiping , killed it and its runs fine. Find it strange other programs have no issue with with PC Doctor but for me it hate PDVD10.

I have opened a ticket on PC Doctors side.
Ok I turned of my AV PC doctor and it plays 100% of the time. Looks like spyware doctor was causing the issue. No longer skipping.
Update I need to find what exe I stopped in the background but it was TFservice.exe and low and behold I play fine.
Seems this belong to my anti virus software PC doctor.
I will play with it more tomorrow and get the name of the exe i stopped maybe this will help tech support.

Yeah beta drives did not work for me either but there is a new update as of 6/1. Wonder if its the live version of the Beta?
Thanks for the tip but using ATI here
Yeah on board sound. I would say that is a sound issue but for using the trail of TMT3 and Pdvd 8 prepatch worked just fine.
So I DID purchase P10 Ultra. Prior to the install I uninstalled Pdvd, cleaned up my registry. Installed P8, Updated to 10 Ultra applied 161 patch... Same issue
Oh im not looking for a free upgrade just for it to work. I think PowerDVD handles sound better then TMT3. I just hate that on P8 (which I did purchase/bundeled) worked, I patch it for Avatar and now NONE of my Blurays play. Trial of 10 was that if it worked I would buy it. But im being told to buy it without knowing if it will resolve my issue or not.

Just as stated NO blurays play on my system with any power DVD product. I did get the trail of TMT3 and it works so I will go with that but I did give them a chance.
Got my response..to purchase the full version of Power DVD 10.
Why the hell would I buy something that the patch disabled any blurays from playing on my system on P8 or P10?

TMT3 here I come I guess.
feel ya pain
Thanks will do!

The detailed issue description

My bluray play back is choppy on audio and video play back.I have Power Dvd 8, put in Avatar it said it needed to be patched so I did. Now my Blu-ray plays choppy on sound and video.
So I tried Power DVD 10 and I get the same thing.
So I put in a Blu-ray I had just watched and it now plays choppy?
Updated my video drives and reloaded my audio drivers just to be sure. All my Blu-ray now play choppy since I tried to play Avatar on my system."
No response yet guys?
FYI Catalyst 10.4 out as of 4/28/10
