PowerDVD21/18_trial version, AMD Renoir platform NB can't play 4K Bluray disk after update 21H2.

AMD Renoir platform notebook connect HDCP 2.2 monitor and set 2nd screen only with Win10 20H2 OS image.
Use PowerDVD 18 and 21 trial version to test, it can play 4K Bluray video.
Upgrade to Win10 21H2 OS 21364, then retest it.
It fail to play with error message as attach. -->jietu.png

Intel platform NB didn't meet this issue.

There is no powerdvd22, and the trial version of powerdvd cannot play 4k blu-ray. So, i don't know which version of powerdvd you actually installed on your platform.


And, AMD CPU platform cannot play 4k blu-ray because it does not suppor the DRM requirement that 4k bluray needs. If any chances you can play the disc on your AMD platform, it would be a bug in you insider preview, beta, and corrupted version of Win 10 21H2.

21H2 21359都可以用PowerDVD播放，应该是从21H2 21364开始无法播放的

口頭從微軟窗口得到的回覆是
powerDVD從19H2就不支持了，跟media player一樣，所以後續是cyberlink維護的，已第三方為準，MSFT 不再涉入

Hello,

The answer is in your original post, and provided by the other user. UHD BD playback is ONLY available with certain Intel CPUs:

Therefore it is NOT available on AMD CPU or NVIDIA CPU. It is the DRM limitation specified by BDA regulation no matter the Windows versions you have installed.
