Using Voice Removal Effect Removes all Audio in Some Clips

The explanation given when hovering the mouse over voice removal effect, is that it does something to it if the audio is panned to the center. But what if its not ? I can't hear any audio when editing some audio clips. From movies for example.

I'm not exactly clear on what you're asking. Have you applied the voice removal effect and it took away all of the sound? Do the clips you can't hear audio from in PD play in external apps? Have you muted any of them, disabled the audio on any tracks or applied any speed changes or audio effects to those clips on the timeline?
