Hi,
I would like to produce a video in a video format that will support chapters. The video would be placed on a thumb drive and played on a computer or HDTV. I have tried mp4 and wmv and can not see the chapters in either format. Is there a video format that supports chapters?
Thank you for your help.

Please explain more about what you want in chapters. Think of chapters in a book. You have have more than on chapter in the book but the book has to be opened. (all the chapters are the same topic but perhaps separated by time, location, etc.) OR are you looking for a library where people can select the book(s) (Think several separate but semi-related topics..) .
.

Anything I post unless stated with a reference is my personal opinion.

This is concert footage of the School Of Rock where there are deferent kids on each song, parents may want to advance to a song their child is in. I usually put this on Blu-ray, each song is a chapter for easy navigation, but recently a few parents have asked if there is any other format since they do not have Blu-ray players. I tried compiling the existing pds that would normally go to Blu-ray with all the chapter markings as mp4 and wmv and the chapters can not be seen in Windows Media Player and VLC.

Thank you

According to this post, PD doesn't support chapters in "produced" video, so you'd need to stick with disc media to utilize them.

Jayman713, it does not necessarily mean you need to use disc media to have a menu. One option among many is to simply copy the created video folder created by PD16 to a usb stick and have menu playback in like the VLC player. It was discussed previously here: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/44327.page#post_box_229536
