How do I play a dvd on cyberlink power18dvd when code F4D41436 'the tv out port for your display card is not working properly' keeps showing. I have failed to play four DVDs so far.

How do I get my 'display card' (of which I know nothing) fixed, so that I can play DVDs directly on Cyberlink Power DVD 18.

Thank you for any suggestions.

According to this FAQ, you need to find out the manufacturer for your video card and then download and install the latest driver for it:

Hello David ~

Thank you for your reply to my problem. Using all variables I could think of, I could not get a response from the link you gave other than 'no result'.

Should I uninstall the Cyberlink Power DVD 18, ditch the new 'Patch' installed yesterday, and reinstall the C/link Power DVD 18? There is no point in having a DVD player that doesn't play DVDs!

I hope you have a view on this.

I am not sure why you can't view that FAQ. Maybe check this post later and see if it applies to you: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/78053.page

This the contents of that FAQ:

"Error Code: F4D41436This error code refers to "The TV-Out port of your display card is not working properly". Please visit the website of your VGA card manufacturer and download the latest driver for your card."

Before reinstalling PowerDVD 18 and all that, please respond with an attached DXDiag.txt file as requested by posters. You can view how to generate it here: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/66022.page#post_box_311122

That give us more insight into what's up. Probably your GPU driver needs updating though.
