Hi Zurello

Welcome to the forum

You are right up to date with PD patches, so that can be ruled out.

4 gigs of memory is a little on the low side so may be a contributing factor.

Are you saying that you don't crash with other formats and it's only MP4 that you have problems with.

what are the exact setting you are trying to produce with e.g. MP4 1080x1920/25. What formats are the originals?

Are you using shadow files?

Do you have Hardware Acceleration selected in Preference - General?

Is this problem a new occurrence or has it always happened?

Robert

This is just a guess, and may be more technically minded members will jump in.

I'm sorry, but I know nothing about PS3 format other than it's FAT32. My bet is on the 4gb of memory being too little.

So far as the PD patches are concerned you can find them here, but you are right up to date. https://www.cyberlink.com/support/powerdirector-ultra/patches_en_US.html Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Can you post the full output of your dxdiag without deleting any of it. That might give some hint as to the problem you've got.

The dxdiag output that you have posted has got no diagnostics section, no crashes or 'hangs'. It is the Windows Error reports that sometimes indicate the reason for a crash.

Hold the Windows Key down and press R. Enter "dxdiag" allow a few moments for dxdiag.exe to run and then click on "Save all information", change the drop down "Save as type" selection to ".txt" choose where you want to save it and 'OK' it. It looks to me as if that is pretty much what you have been doing and if that is the case AND you have not edited the saved file then I'm at a loss.

Crashes which are not reported in dxdiag are something I've never seen before. The crash report might be pointing to a problem with the system msvcrt.dll which I believe is used by applications written in C++. If it was my system I would probably think about re-installing it, perhaps run the Windows System File checker (sfc /scannow) or even re-install PDR but I'm just guessing.

Perhaps it's time to think about replacing your old computer and upgrading to a newer version of PDR - Christmas isn't too far away now and it could be your present to yourself laughing.

Sorry I can't be more help. I think the real answer is to contact Cyberlink Customer Support and see what they say.

I don't know how sensitive you are about revealing information but just bye the bye, the crash report you posted contains the UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) for your computer.

Hi Zurello

When you produce, are you using the H264 container? Or are you using the MPEG-4 container? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

PD11 is 4 years old. Have you tried disabling both checkboxes in Preferences/Hardware acceleration. Do not use Fast video rendering technology/Hardware video encoder. You should then be able to produce a mp4 file without crashing. The crash.jpg indicates a possible conflict with the ati video driver. You don’t want to update to the latest ati driver as PD11 may crash if you do so. Any ati driver later than 2014 may cause PD11 to crash. Check the HP support website. Enter the exact information to see what updates are available.

Thank you for the suggestion, i'll try driver made before 2014.

I just disabilitated everything, and can produce only 6mbps mp4.

For the sake of completeness I should add here that dxdiag under Windows 7 does not include the error reports so it wan't anything that you were doing wrong Zurello smile. It was something that I was unaware of previously so down to me embarassed.
