Crashes which are not reported in dxdiag are something I've never seen before. The crash report might be pointing to a problem with the system msvcrt.dll which I believe is used by applications written in C++. If it was my system I would probably think about re-installing it, perhaps run the Windows System File checker (sfc /scannow) or even re-install PDR but I'm just guessing.
Perhaps it's time to think about replacing your old computer and upgrading to a newer version of PDR - Christmas isn't too far away now and it could be your present to yourself .

I don't know how sensitive you are about revealing information but just bye the bye, the crash report you posted contains the UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) for your computer.
