Thanks Andrew, what players work for you? I presume once Dafydd provides feeback to CL they will sort it out quickly enough.

PS - I can also confirm that there are no problems with the AVCHD 50p structure, it only seems to be the BD one that creates a corrupted structure. PD 64 Bit-Win10 64 Bit-32GB RAM-80TB HDD

The Sony BDV-E370, the PS3 and my PC running Power DVD Live.

Any chance you stick a 10sec clip on here and I'll try your Panasonic footage?

I'm off to bed now anyway, speak soon!

Burn a physical disk and can confirm:
- Plays Fine on a PS3
- Will not play on TMT6
- Generates a Can not parse file error on LAVFilter based SW players.

Andrew, Nathan great work on localising the bug with some very useful contributions from ngcard.
The thread should be picked up and read by CyberLink and I have passed on the info to them as well.

Hi,

The 2229 patch does not appear to have fixed the issues we found, namely the incorrect blu-ray disc file structure and lack of SVRT support.

Hi Is there a way to burn 1920 x 1080p 50p (MPEG-2) onto a blu ray.

I used the hack for PD12 which worked great... is there one for PD13, as the drop down menu only allows 50p in H.264 not MPEG-2.

For some reason my Panasonic player on likes 50p in MPEG format, doesn't like H.264 at 50p

Try this test hack to see if it works for you (or run the attached Reg files to turn on or return to original)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\PowerDirector13\AuthorPage\Profile\BDMVProfileMP2AC3]
"3"=hex:40,78,7d,01,05,00,00,00,00,01,00,00,06,00,00,00,40,a5,ae,02,00,1b,b7,\
00,03,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,05,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,05,00,00,00,40,06,00,00,\
d0,07,00,00,01,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,00,00,00,00

This should change the combination of "MPEG-2" + "Dolby Digital" + "2 Channel" + "HD 1280x720" to actually output at 1920x1080 resolutions, eg:
- Selecting "HD 1280 x 720/50 or 60p" --> actually creates "1920 x 1080/50 or 60p", and
- Selecting "HD 1280 x 720/24p" --> actually "1920 x 1080/24p" (note: useless as you can already select this from the menu anyway)

If it works I can make one reg file to Turn it ON / OFF for other audio profiles apart from the DD 2ch one (our you can do it by hand).

I haven't tested the patch but there is no drop down menu to burn to blu ray at 1920 x 1080p (50p) MPEG-2 so I've re installed your hack after installing patch.

Hi,

The new patch patch does not appear to have fixed the issues we found, namely the incorrect blu-ray disc file structure for 50p BD discs and lack of SVRT support for 50p.

Take a look Nathan.

Dafydd, could you ask them why they haven't fixed this?

Thanks!

Andrew

Thanks Master!

The preset profile in 'Produce' works fine with SVRT - but not in 'Create Disc'.

Looks to me as if clpi and mpls issues are fixed with NTSC but not PAL. SVRT won't work in either as "Produce" uses a 3, 13 GOP structure and "Create Disc" uses a 3, 16 GOP structure. For NTSC you can create a proper GOP profile with a edit of profile.ini, and then SVRT will work in "Create Disc". Have not played with PAL profiles. Not sure of the CL intent behind using different GOP structure between "Produce" and "Create Disc" for the same default profile.

So patch has changes, just not resolution.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for posting this. How do you alter the profile for PAL and Create Disc?
