Hi all, I have the clips on timeline, added music to audio track 2, gone into audio mixing room fade down on video track and up on the music and visa versa. but how do I save the settings that I have done? because when I return to the start of the timeline the adjustments that I have made are not there!!!!!

The audio setting is applied to the selected clip.
You can use the MUT to mute the audio video if necessary.
Clicks right on the clip and select MUT. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

Are you using the "Audio Gain" slider button to adjust the volume on the WHOLE track?

The volume slider only adjusts the point where the scrubber is when the adjustment is made. Certainly any changes you make in the Audio Room should not change. Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

I can see the long white line going up and down on the sound track and the volume goes up and down with it, but what I have done does not seem to save when I go to the beginning

Are you saying that if you go to the start of your clip after making audio changes in the audio room the soundtrack is level again? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

What happens if you make audio changes and then save the file straight away? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

If I save the file straight away, It's still the same, no change in volume!!!!!

That goes for the sound track I have put on, or the sound track on the video.

I see from some of your previous posts that you were using PD10. Is this still the case, if so have downloaded all the PD10 patches? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Do you Save the project file after you make the audio adjustments?

It is best to use Save Project As, and give new name each time. 001.pds, 002.pds and so on. Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

What happens if you make the changes directly on the timeline using your mouse?

As a matter of interest what is the format of your audio files? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

Not done it using timeline, I will try it later. I have used Mp3
BUT it's just the same with the audio on the video clips.
I can alter the volume, but when I save or go back to the start of the timeline the volume alterations are not there.

What happens if you make alterations to the audio, save the file and then return to the audio room without playing the track.

Play the track while in the audio room. Do you see the volume sliders moving up and down even though the file has reverted to its original form.

In other words, the timeline says the file has reverted. What do the sliders say is happening? Panny TM10, GH2, GH4,

It is possible that you made the volume change to a clip only. Try this: Highlight the first clip on the timeline, make a volume change. Note the number. Save and exit the project. Open the project, highlight the exact same first clip at exactly the same place on the timeline. The number will be the same.

Hi tomasc

On reading the first post I got the impression that shezza1 was editing the audio of more than one clip. He is using the audio and video track. The same thing is happening on both.

Right! when use the white line on the audio channel to adjust the volume on the audio for both video clip and additional music it works,
I can go back to the start of timeline and the settings are saved, the volume will go up or down. And when I look at the sliders they are going up or down, that's Ok.
So why cant I just use the sliders, I cant understand what I am doing wrong.
