Hi,

Can I report that when there are 4K 100mbit/s XAVC S files in the timeline editing is nearly impossible since it is slow? this issue only happens on clips in the timeline and does not happens when I preview a clip in the media room. Main Machine: Jetway NF9G-QM77, Intel i7-3610QM, Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB, 128gb SSD, Windows 10 Pro
Secondary Machine: Lenovo Y510p, Intel i7-4700MQ 2.4Ghz, 2x nVidia GT750M, 500GB SSHD, Windows 10 Education

Do you have shadow files turned on? 100Mbps is a tremendous amount of data to try to preview in real-time, especially in full definition or with any effects or transitions.

Did this issue just show up in the 2822 beta?

A quick test after downloading the patch shows that the UI performs normally on my system even when zoomed in to maximum. I was also able to utilize the Set Chapters function successfully from the Creat Disc tab.

I'm not sure how to test for the other two issues that were addressed in this patch, but I can say that this version (and 2808) seems to have resolved the nuisance issue of not always signing in to DZ.

My response after installing this patch is that it is not good at all. I was having crashes loading my project, so I thought I'd give this a try. Now it sits on "Update Timeline Data" and I can just watch the memory footprint increase in Task Manager until finally it tells me there is not enough memory.

Richard, it sounds like your computer is having some serious problems but this beta patch is clearly not the reason why.

Please take a look at this *post* to see some of the steps you can do to fix the underlying problems. It's relevant even though that person is using PD12.

If you'd like to ask the forum for help, please start a new thread.

optodata, I'm not quite sure what you are thinking when you state "this beta patch is clearly not the reason why" but it clearly is. The behavior changed dramatically from before the patch (build 2604) to this one (2822). The creator of the post asked for feedback from anyone having problems with the patch and that's what I'm doing. I'm not having any other issues with my computer.

Richard, I'm sorry if I was mistaken. You mentioned that you were having crashes loading your project, so you tried the beta patch. That's why I thought something was wrong that wasn't related to the new patch.

Perhaps something is corrupted with that project, so maybe you could try creating a new one or opening another that wasn't giving you problems and see if you see the same "out of memory" behavior. No one else has reported this.

I just reinstalled 13.0.2123.0 and the issue with it hanging on "Update Timeline Data" and consuming memory has gone away. Now I'm just back to it crashing (which is likely a different issue). I do appreciate the attempt at help...just wanted to report the specifc change in behavior with this particular patch.

I understand, and thanks for clarifying. It would be helpful to understand the out-of memory issue that this patch caused. If you reapplied it and created a new project, does that still run out of memory or does it only happen with the project that crashes?

I updated beta PD13 v2822 worked well until yesterday 05/05/15.

Again the problem I had with the previous beta.

Open project takes too long to load, add file on the timeline as well.

SVRT Information remains impractical for projects with many files.

05/08/2015 retry the same

Maybe be so with my PC.

The fact is that return to the V2604 version and works standard.
