disgusted -

The video I referred to is this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWDTInl2TAY - do you mean you didn't see that a video was posted at http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/25/45172.page#233515 ???

The post looks like this, with the video outlined in green

If you can't see it there must be something wrong with the browser you're using.

I'm very glad you're making progress getting what you're after.

Cheers - Tony

That's odd. IE11 displays the video insert here... so does Chrome & Waterfox.

I thought you wanted Text Only links, but your original statement was confusing... "how do i get rid of the pictures that are links. (see bottom pic) i just need words. i would prefer to use my pictures as links.(without text)"

Before we go any further, can you clarify?

Cheers - Tony

i messed up this post so here is hoping!

the background images are the video. it stays.

the other video thumb nails have to go. i tried making them clear, but is suspect if a clear one covers a text link, the square will trigger the link.

i am attempting to make the menu. that is what is above.

the structure is nonsense how do i correct it.

thanks

ideally the end result will be this, with the video running behind the menu

the frame and title is an image i just put in front. probably a gig so the middel is clear
thanks

You could do that (pretty much) with a Text Only menu. Didn't you say you wanted pictures as the links? I guess you've changed your mind about that.

Whatever it is you want, you could do... unless the background pics are moving and you want them as links.

BUT - people here can't really help unless it's clear what you want. Right now, I'm fairly confident that whatever suggestion I put, you'll say "but I wanted..."

If you want those frames with "To Frisco" etc to be links, just use a Text Only menu and make a frame overlay for the background video.

Hi disgusted -

I believe this is the kind of menu you want. The background video has those frames/boxes built in as an overlay and the menu text placement is based on that.

BTW, ISn't your trial just about up? Remember the trial has been modified to remove some of the features. That was in your title If you have the full version now, please change the title of this thread. .

Hi disgusted -

Woo Hoo! It's taken us three pages, but I think we're making progress laughing

In preparing that menu, there were quite a few steps. I'm not sure exactly which steps might be causing you problems. Can you clarify? The basic steps are:

  1. Making the background video

  2. Preparing the overlay (with the little frames)

  3. Combining 1. & 2.

  4. Creating the menu using the video from 3. as a background

  5. Applying the menu to your project.

Cheers - Tony

P.S. You'll be able to do this with the trial version

i have put the video in the back ground of the menu.

but how to create the menu with MY pictures as buttons?

how to NOT have all the other junk.

this is a trial one so maybe it cannot be done.

the menus come in pairs. the root has no images.

the other one always has those boxes and text i do not want.

thanks all

Hi disgusted -

Given up? Given up??

Probably to the disappointment of particular forum members, giving up isn't in PDtoots' DNA.

Hopefully, you'll find something useful in the tutorial posted here - http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/41501.page#234047

Thanks for showing how it SHOULD work, but as expected cyberjunk has other ideas

the first i show that the text spacing does not work but you CAN SEE how i set the menu up.

second picture of the menu shows the chaos.

3 days left

thanks

I'm "disappointed" (euphemism) that the tutorial didn't help you with your predicament.

It's difficult to work out exactly what you're trying to achieve from the screen shots. I think this finite resource may have just depleted itself undecided

PM sent.
