Hi All

I have just discovered that the ruler/marker in the timeline is not accurate.

Never noticed it before.

Anyone know why?

It's a bit like the missing 100th of a second from .24 to 1.00 what happened to .25,.26,.27,.28,.29 and so on .98, .99, 1.00

See the original thread for the answer

BTW, you're running at 50FPS, right? The numbers are for the tick mark at the exact left edge of where each "00:00:0x.xx" starts, so your timeline scale is 0.105 frames/tick mark (3.15-2.10 / 10 = 0.105). Accurate, but not terribly useful

The scrubber is about 3.2 tick marks from the 00:00:03:15 point, and 3.15 + (0.105*3.2) = 3.49 or essentially 4:00 @ 50FPS. If you were to zoom in, you'd get the full resolution to see every frame and the timeline would make a lot more sense.

FWIW, this actually does make perfect sense if you're an engineer , but it would be so much nicer to have the timeline designed to only show useful units. Maybe we can convince Dafydd to put this at the top of our "Must Have" requests

Thanks optodata

I thought I would post a separate topic as that query was about the clip not lining up to the edge of the timeline due to the grab handle in track 2.

Your explanation though does make sense and your comment about improvements are justified.

Any ideas about the missing time from the .24 sec mark to the 1 sec mark?

When you move through farm by frame it skips from .24 second to 1 second

Our responses crossed in cyberspace! See if my revised explanation (above) makes sense.
