Hi

First, the PD11has been in use for at least 100 hours here, using 1080 60P I had my first freeze last night, after restarting PD11 all was well. I find this to be a very stable program.

I do have a question, is there a simple way to add 2 or 3 edits, all same format, into one ? Did not see anything in the manual.

Rather than working on one continuous, say 1 hr long edit, it would be easier to do it in 3 parts and combine them.

After the excellent note above, there still is work to be done on the audio format problem with 50/60P files produced by PD11, this problem has been around for over TWO YEARS.! Help.

Make it possible to burn 60P within PD11, please.

Eugene

You can split projects.

You can use the above method to split into smaller pieces.

Carl312: Windows 10 64-bit 8 GB RAM,AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz,ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB,240GB SSD,two 1TB HDs.

Thank you Carl.

My concern Carl, was how to add individual edits. Of course I could always use TXMuxer and the like as I have in the past.

I would need greater detail in what you are actually doing.

I do not understand your question. I thought you were trying to split a large and long project into smaller pieces.

Carl, rather than making a 90 min video edit, I would prefer to do 3 separate 30 min videos and add or combine them into a 1ea 90 min video before burning.
As mentioned I have done this by adding the 3 files with TsMuxer but would like to to that in PD11.

Thanks for your help

Eugene

PS That 2min auto save just came in very handy. 73s, WA6JZN ex DL9GC

Hi Eugen157,
You can Produce a 60p file and display on TV without needing to use a BluRay.

3 projects into one - easy peasy.

OK, you have three saved pds files.
Open PDR11 without the Sample files present.
Select File/Insert and then browse and select your first pds.
The video is placed in the track where you have positioned the track slider.
Move the track slider to the end of your first pds and repeat... go to File/Insert and browse for your second pds.
Repeat for pds 3.

Now you'll be asked with each pds about adding the project content to the library - select ok.

Just as a note. Any project where you have removed items from the Library but have them in the track will not "suddenly" bring them into a new project - they'll remain out of the Library. This does have an advantage when handling larger projects or projects that have been completed.

Thanks again for the reply Dafydd.

Will spend some time trying this out after my present project is finished (8 day cruise with neighbors).

Interestingly, all 5 of them have BR players that will play 60P,even though some are nearly two years old. So burning 60P BR is the preferred method here.

And thanks to JMON's PD9FIX, making 60P BR possible !!.

We have been through this before, but 60P represents a major and the ultimate and final PQ improvement that is possible for the existing 1920x1080 format. End of the line!

If I want better video? Only 4K.

And my Samsung C5500, approaching its third year of existence, DOES play 60P after firmware update.

Had to lighten up, sorry about the rant. (well, not really)

Love this forum.

Eugene
