PD6 will not change DTV channels. It is always locked on ch 13.
Capture source = DTV, changing the 001 number does not do anything.
Typing another number does nothing.
Up Down arrows do not change channels.
"Scan Channel" gets "PDR.exe application error", PD6 then terminates.
drop down from capture, "device setup", does nothing.

PD 6.00 Delux
Have installed the upgrade for PD6.
Desktop PC:
XP Professional SP2
Intel Pentium 4, 3.0 ghz
No video card, maybe part of chip set.
1 GB ram
ATI HDTV Wonder tuner, getting 8 DTV channels with on screen ATI tuner.

Any idea why PD6 locked on one channel???

Thanks for reply

This patch is NOT there. . It links to the 2319_patch.
http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/download/dl_patch_417_4_ENU.html
But run 2319 it again on second install after second install did not fix problem.

First install:
Purchased box CD with manual
VDE070717-03
600.2319 Deluxe
downloaded patch
20074310,2319_patch_VDE070717-03.exe

Support instructed me to download web version and do a lot of computer checks.
Now have installed
build 1731b VDE070411-03.exe (First I uninstalled the 2319)

virtual memory over the 512 and max 1024 size
Deleted files from “temp” directories
HD is 42 GB free, minium is 15BG
screen is set to 1024 x 768 16 bit
Upgraded to DirectX 9c
Run Norton virus
Also run (not on list) - registry fix, disk clean up, and defrag.
Later run the 2319 patch and still no fix.

So, support does not have a fix. Support making a lot suggestions that don’t work.

Only thing not done on list is check for update VGA and sound driver.
Gee, what next, get new computer.
Now have XP Home, SP2, will put SP3 on, but don’t think it will help with this.

==================
PD6 detects and shows ch 13 as soon as DTV function is selected but channel can’t be changed.
PDR6 terminates when the Capture, DTV, Channel Scan is run.
Error - instruction at 0x0b7c1d55(values change) referenced memory at 0x0b( values change).
The interface to the ATI HDTV Wonder tuner is not working for finding the other channels.
There are a few digital channels above and below the one that PD6 gets.
Also, was able to record the one channel it gets to HD.
Also can’t run with desktop access to the turner and run PD6 “DTV” at the same time.

Well, that is about it for now.

Hi Mike,

Please check the spec of your card on the ATI/AMD website. I believe the card supports the HDTV Wonder ATSC tuner but PD6 does NOT support ATSC.

You may have found the problem.
Checked the PD6 Capture, TV and DTV, menu settings.
Both NO, "ATSC" in the drop down list.

Got a new computer with a analog digital tuner:
Tuner name not listed.
Spec
Analog - PAL, NTSC, SECAM
Digital - ATSC
Miscrosoft Vista, Intel Core 2 Quad

Installed PD6 build 1731b.

PD6 failed on DTV.

Old computer is XP, Pentium 4, 3.0 Ghz, ATI HDTV Wonder.
PD6 failed on DTV.

So, the problem must be PD6.

Hi Mike,

Actually, not a problem with PD6 as the ATSC is not included in the spec (of supported features) of the software product...therefor it cant be a problem with PD6.

I understand your disappointment, but it is really in the choice of hardware and the changing spec of that hardware ATI/AMD.

I referred your issue to the research and development section at CyberLink.
