3D Outer Space Slideshow modify hack

Add Barry's 3D's, he made some great little changes and they will display the same "Unknown". If you amend the icon image by adding a text ID (a name) in an image editor, you'll find it a lot easier to pick out the Slideshow.

Thanks tomasc for stepping in and guiding others.

I tend not to present hacks or workarounds unless as here, I answered an editor... heck I like to keep my own thunder to myself

This is just in PD14 isn't it? Is the 3D Outer Space Slideshow - is that a transition in PD14 or where does it exit in PD14 (just curious as I still only have PD14

edit adding the following: <---NOT CORRECT.. I have PD13)?

Hi CS -

The 3D Outer Space slideshow template is part of PDR 14, 13, 12... and I can't remember if it was in previous versions. It definitely wasn't in PDR9 & earlier. i.e. the modifications described above would apply to all versions that have that slideshow template.

Is that what you were asking?

Cheers - Tony

Just corrected my last entry. I have PD13.

Where would I find this 3D Outer Space slideshow ... um.. item then? Is it a transition or some sort of other template - where would it be listed? I'd like to find it.

Put a few images in a timeline adjacent to each other. Highlite them, the slideshow button appears.
Click it.
Have a blast, the slideshows make for a nice edit, but a few are rather limited in how you can use them as the themes can be narrow. Hence this thread to hack one of them, but others can be easily altered/hacked to fit a wide array of uses. HP Envy Phoenix/4thGen i7-4770(4@3.4GHz~turbo>3.9)
Nvidia GTX 960(4GB)/16GB DDR3/
Canon Vixia HV30/HF-M40/HF-M41/HF-G20/Olympus E-PL5.
Tape capture using 6 VCR, TBC-1000, Elite BVP4+, Sony D8 camcorder with TBC.

I've hacked themes to but I'll leave that alone for a while.

What Tony is saying is that the above instructions will work for PD 13 and 14. So you will find the template files as described above.

Robert, Thanks - I understood Tony and understand that this works in PD13 also. Thank you though for the follow up.

Thanks to the rest of you guys too for responding!

Quote: All set for now (third attempt to post here), I will live with the 1 modified OuterSpace template because the others are so easy to alter. Maybe later today I'll try to get the original and the modded to show up at the same time, but I will NEVER use the meteors so...not sure it's worth it. However putting in a few baseballs, or balloons, or something else with a wide array of uses, that might be cool. At least I now have one more template I can use. Thank you.

I didn't straight away remark on the highlighted comment you made Barry but it made me smile... Yeah, I was having the same problem at the same time, could it be we were blocking each other?

CyberLink are aware of the problems.
