Quote: Hi Alice -

Not that I'm any kind of whizz on matters technical, but I honestly can't see anything in your DxDiag that looks like it should cause a problem. I've never had those error messages myself, nor read about them in the forums (that I can remember). I wish I could help you with an answer, but I'm at a loss too.

Quite obviously, there's nothing wrong with the clips from your camera... as they've been produced by others in the format/profile you selected.

So - it's a problem with your PD on your PC. There's something tangled up in there that's way beyond my comprehension.

Have you tried producing to MPEG-2 BD 1440x1080? Is that the profile you selected before when you tried MPEG-2?

If it was my PD giving me that sort of grief, I'd give it the flick with a TOTAL uninstall (using Revo or similar to clear the registry) - then re-install... after which I'd update QuickTime whether it needed it or not. Others may scoff at this suggestion, but your problem is very odd (obviously Tech Support is struggling with it too).

Cheers - Tony

EDIT: You're right. WMV compression may not suit you. AND, in any case, you shouldn't be limited to that because PD isn't happy.

Thanks for the advice Tony...

I will try uninstalling completely ! I'm beautiful in my way 'cause God makes no mistakes, I'm on the right track baby, I was BORN THIS WAY !

So I reinstalled PD9, haven't tried producing any clips yet, but I do get the following error each time I start the program: "Cyberlink CLQTKernelClient32 has stopped working and must now close"

What the heck does that mean ? I'm beautiful in my way 'cause God makes no mistakes, I'm on the right track baby, I was BORN THIS WAY !

You have a problem with the QuickTime connection to PD.

1. Uninstall QuickTime from your PC
2. Uninstall and USE the CL Cleaner tools located here: http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/15688.page
3. re-install PD9

Was that following my instructions? PD9 requires QuickTime to be installed!

That's because you're currently not using the programs full capabilities. Later you may get Component Activation messages and there will be no assistance.

best of luck.
